  Description

  Hello everyone!
  We are Milena and Dejan and we live close to Fruska Gora National park and close to Novi Sad with our two daughters, 2 dogs and 3 cats :) Our house is located very close to the forest and a lot of beautiful hiking trails, also we are close to the main road so its easy to go anywhere from here. I am stay at home mom and I enjoy time with my kids and it would be amazing to have some company and help with some fun tasks with kids. Dejan is working dad, sometimes from office, sometimes from the house and he is our man for everything and he does almost all the work around the house by himself or friends and family members.
  
  Three years ago we bought an old house and started renovation process that is still ongoing. That's why we need volunteers who are happy to help us with everyday life, DIY projects, chores, kids, animals, garden. Reno project is kind of slow , there are a lot of steps. We already did a lot of work - did first two floors, garden and indoor renovations., but we still have a lot big and small things left to be done.
  
  We enjoy working on our life project - our dream home!

  Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre

  Volunteers can see and learn how one household is functioning lets say from scratch.
  It depends from interests but basically you can learn some stuff if you want, how to make bread, Serbian language, tending a garden and the most important how to be silly with kids.
  
  We wake up early because of the children, spend a lot of time outside, eat together, and enjoy calm evenings.
  Our daughters do not attend kindergarten as we believe that shaping their minds and spending time outdoor with kids is the most important thing we can do for us, them, and the world.
  
  We are also working toward a more independent lifestyle and dream of creating things like a chicken coop, solar panels, and a well in the future.
  
  Volunteers presence can make a real difference in our everyday family life, and we are genuinely grateful for that. At the same time, we want this to feel like a meaningful exchange, not just work.
  More than perfect skills, we value kindness, initiative, openness, and good energy.
  
  At the moment, with two small children and many projects at home, we are not able to travel much, so this is our window the world.
  
  reminder: This is a family home and not a party place, so we prefer a calm, respectful, and family-friendly atmosphere.

  Aide

  There is always something to do here! Always :D
  There are two types of work harder and lighter, you can choose whatever suits you more.
  
  We need help with organizing children’s daily activities and creative time (music, drawing, reading, crafts, dancing, baking, or other creative activities with the girls), joining us for walks and easy hikes, gardening , there is a lot of furniture that needs some love. We also welcome artist that want to make our house beautiful with some color and different techniques.
  
  There are also this kind of side projects:
  • helping improve the children’s playground
  • simple outdoor projects (coloring the fence, making something nice from dirt and stone)
  • decorating inside and outside the house
  
  We are happy to adapt tasks depending on the volunteer’s strengths, ideas, and interests.
  Any help would be a BIG help for us!

  Volunteers will be in tents in our garden. There is shade and a lot of threes / fig, cherry, plum...
  
  We also have:

  Food
  
  Food is an important part of life in our home. We cook a lot and love preparing homemade meals together.
  We often make:
  • homemade bread
  • kiflice
  • homemade pasta dishes
  • traditional Serbian food
  
  We also love exchanging recipes, stories, and food traditions from different cultures.
  We provide 3 homemade meals a day.
  If you want to learn tricks for soft homemade bread or traditional cooking, I would be happy to share them with you 😊

  Important practical information
  On the first day of your arrival we will have to register in the local police, this is a normal legal requirement, and we will help with the process.
  
  Languages & experience
  
  We speak Serbian and English.
  Both of us also have experience as volunteers and have participated in Erasmus+ projects and international work camps.
