Description

We love to travel and meet new people and at the moment Mark and I are living our dream of travelling in the UK/Europe for 3 years. However I am a bit of a homebody so like to have the opportunity to settle for a while and enjoy practical tasks. I love to complete jobs and am an organised perfectionist. I like to cook, garden and generally sort and tidy.
Apart from family and friends, I find happiness in good food and wine, and being physically active and so tired and fulfulled at the end of the day.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are a mature couple with lots of practical skills. We have built and renovated 3 properties and so are good painters, wallpapers, have done some tiling and general house renovation tasks.
I love to cook and organise. Great housekeeping skills and have a love of interior design.
Mark is skilled on most small power tools and can help with larger landscaping tasks. We both like to garden.
My background is in customer service with a long career as a flight attendant, then managing a remote luxury lodge and running the base area of a ski resort in New Zealand for two seasons. I have also done book-keeping for many years. Mark is an ex-Aircraft Engineer (Avionics) who then was a quality and manufacturing manager, and then taught leadership and business improvement. We are both now retired and enjoying living in Europe and using our practical skills.

We have two grown children and are taking the opportunity to travel while they are settled and we have no obligations. Our son works internationally and our daugher is home in New Zealand.
We love skiing, hiking and exploring both cities and the outdoors.

Mark is also passionate about history and anything old. We have recently spent 15 months in the UK and Mark was involved in metal detecting and being a volunteer on archeological digs. He hopes to continue this passion in the future.
