Description

Hi! We’re Carolain and Brayan, a 27-year-old travelling couple from Chile. We’ve been living abroad for the past two years, taking advantage of the Working Holiday visas that have allowed us to experience different countries and cultures.

We spent one year in New Zealand, then travelled around Asia, and now we’re in Germany for another year! Most of the time, we work while travelling, but we also love to combine this with periods of volunteering. We believe volunteering is one of the best ways to experience a country on a deeper level and truly connect with its culture and people. :)

It makes us really happy to share our time with families who open their homes to volunteers, and we always try to contribute as much as we can, helping with whatever is needed. We’re excited to meet new people, learn from each experience, and hopefully become a helpful part of your home for a while! :)

We both have a good level of English — we understand instructions well and can hold conversations, but we’re always looking to improve and one day speak fluently. We’re also happy to teach others our beautiful language, Spanish!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Brayan is an electrical engineer by profession and has experience working as an electrician in New Zealand. He has also worked in construction and gardening, and enjoys hands-on work and learning new skills. He’s also a great cook and enjoys preparing meals.

I (Carolain) am an industrial engineer and, while in New Zealand, I worked as a kitchen hand. I’m also comfortable with digital environments and administrative tasks, and I enjoy organizing and getting things done.

During our time in Germany, we have been working together at a hotel, where our mornings are dedicated to housekeeping and cleaning, while in the afternoons we work in gardening and maintaining the hotel’s outdoor areas. This experience has given us the opportunity to become comfortable with both indoor and outdoor work, and we’re happy to help wherever we’re needed.

We both enjoy playing board games — we carry a couple with us to play with new friends or just between the two of us :) We love adventure, being out in nature, going trekking or hiking, sharing a few beers, and having long conversations
