Description
I enjoy meeting people, sharing ideas, experiences and meals. I produce community radio, listen to live music and, if it's not too cold, swim in the sea for fun.
I offer short term accommodation in exchange for help with general household cleaning and specific projects, depending on the skills and interests of my guests.
From guests I expect respect for me and my home and a fair exchange of labour for accommodation & food. I eat meat and dairy but can cater for vegetarians & vegans if needed.

I enjoy cooking and like to share meals. I'm happy to exchange recipies and cooking styles. I can also offer English language coaching.

General household help especially vacuuming/cleaning etc. I also have papers, files and photographs to organise.Other projects possible if you have the interest or knowledge. What skills do you have? Can you sew? Fix things? Happy to negotiate tasks & hours.

A large room in a studio style apartment. The room has a double bed and desk. There's also a pullout single bed. Shared bathroom with a shower. Washing machine available.
Note: If you have a car or van you need to make your own arrangements as I cannot offer car parking for more than one night.

I live in the social & cultural heart of Wellington so there's always something happening. Guests are welcome to join me when I go out to listen to blues/jazz /afrobeat music. And, if you like wild swimming, I swim in the nearby sea when the weather is good.

Lucy was a wonderful workawayer. I had some serious cleaning to do after some sanding and painting work and Lucy managed it beautifully. She is friendly and sociable without being intrusive. She's also a talented graphic illustrator. I'd be happy to host her again.

I have no hesitation recommending Hayley as a workawayer. She is friendly and adaptable. She handled the difficult task of helping me sort personal papers as well as provided general household help. She got on well with the other younger workawayer I had staying the same week.

Carolain & Brayan were great workawayers and lovely guests. I was very happy with their work and enjoyed their company. We shared cooking so I got to to try some of their favourite Chilean dishes including picarones - pumpkin donuts that are then soaked in a syrup, and beef empanadas.

I've no hesitation recommending Anja as a workaway guest. She only stayed two nights but was extremely conscientious about making sure she gave something back for the hospitality. We had some good conversations and I was happy to invite her to join me when I went out. I hope we meet again.

I enjoyed getting to know Julie in the last weeks of her stay in Aotearoa. She helped me hang pictures, move furniture and cleaned some very dirty garage cabinets. I invited her to stay longer than originally planned because she was so easy to be around. I hope she enjoyed her stay as much as I enjoyed having her.
