Description

Kia ora! We’re Ben and Elle from a little beach town in Christchurch, New Zealand.
We love travelling through Workaway because it gives us the chance to meet new people, experience different cultures, learn new skills, contribute wherever we can and get stuck into new experiences.
Between the two of us we have a great mix of skills and We love working together/ with other people on all kinds of projects.
Over the years, we’ve shared many adventures together, including van life exploring our beautiful home country of New Zealand and a long-term trip throughout Asia. Now we are setting off on our next adventure, travelling throughout Europe and we cannot wait!
We’re friendly, reliable, hardworking, and always keen to try something new. We’d love the opportunity to share our skills, bring some positive energy, and create great memories together.

About Ben: Fabrication/ welding/ maintenance/ landscaping/ renovations/ house hold chores.

I’m a hardworking fabricator and welder with seven years of experience in the industry. Over the years, I’ve developed a solid skill set in metalwork, maintenance, and construction. I’m comfortable using all kinds of hand and power tools, so I can take on a variety of tasks, from repairs to renovations.

I’ve also spent a lot of time working on my own home renovations and landscaping projects, so I’ve picked up plenty of skills along the way. I enjoy hands on work, problem solving, and taking on new challenges.

Elle's Skils: massage therapy/ childcare/ gardening/ landscaping/ cooking/ household chores/ creative projects.

I’m a qualified Kahuna level 1/2 and holistic massage therapist starting up my own business, I have spent years working with children, including three years in preschools and nearly 8 years as a nanny.
I have also spent a good amount of time working as a tree planter helping restore native trees in New Zealand.
I love working with/ helping people and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
I have previous Workaway/ other volunteer experience (travelling) and loved it! I’ve traveled all across Europe through Workaway, taking on roles such as:
- Au pairing/ childcare
- Hostel work and hospitality
- Farm work and agricultural tasks
- Mosaic and artistic projects
Workaway experiences have been the most fulfilling part of my travels.

What we bring as a team:
We’re both super keen to learn, adaptable, and always up for new experiences. We take pride in being respectful, empathetic, kind, tidy, reliable, and hardworking and we love meeting new people along the way.

We are a adventurous couple who grew up by the beach and mountains, which naturally led us to bond over exploring the outdoors. Mostly in our van.

We are passionate about food, Cooking healthy organic food, animals, sauna, gardening, being near the water, board games and open to anything really!

We both love staying active:
Ben enjoys running, hiking, skateboarding, and playing tennis.
Elle loves to surf, practice yoga, and hike. also a creative, enjoys photography, painting, knitting, cooking!
