Hey all!
I'm Bálint from Hungary currently doing camp photography at a New Hampshire sleepaway kids camp.
Between Aug 29-Sept 5 I'll be in the NYC-Boston area and I'd love to help anyone needing a hand.

I've done general maintenance, grass strimming, garden work, lifting heavy stuff, pet sitting, house sitting, and similar things, about which I make my Youtube videos.

At my first-ever Workaway in Sweden I was helping renovate this Swedish wooden cabin or "stuga":

Currently I'm very much interested in learning about culture-language-identity, which I also study at university, as well as self-sufficiency, growing vegetables, garden work, learning to work with animals, being in nature, being part of a commune of people helping each other grow.
I used to have small balcony gardens and loved them, and did my own sourdough bread.

I have varying degrees of experience in different things.

During my life I have already been a:
- digital content creator (video editing, graphic illustrations, blogging, vlogging, post texts)
- English teacher
- English linguistics student (current masters)
- camp photographer in the US (current job)
- drummer and bedroom musician: recorded my own music and drum covers

- hiker: started doing the cross-country Hungarian Blue Trail (Kéktúra), did 800 km so far.
- cyclist: I wascycling everywhere almost daily (back in Hungary)

- part-time volunteer: was volunteering last year in Hungary by helping disadvantaged children with tutoring

I have a category B driver's license and both a Geneva Convention and Vienna Convention International Driver's Permit which allows me to drive anywhere.

I'd really like to learn farming, gardening, working with animals, self-sufficiency, maintenance work.

11 years ago I was working in the kitchen of a summer camp in Pennsylvania, USA and have been wanting to have similar experience ever since.

Bálint is a really nice guy, helpful, easygoing and takes initiative to do stuff and not afraid to try and learn new things. He was staying for a few weeks, painted outer walls, made a concrete floor for a sauna, picking berries and made jam, took care of my dog and cat while I was gone among other things. Bálint stayed for a week, some time after his first reaction on my last minute request. Finally he came and helped me trough a lot of work that was behind. The very wet spring changed the farm on several places into a jungle. I stayed for a week at Gemma’s place. It’s pretty much a savanna-like farm in the middle of nowhere with horses, cats and a dog. I was mainly strimming the overgrown grass on her land and helping out with some stuff. Balint surprised - he promised little and delivered a lot. Made beautiful videos, smashed whatever work was thrown at him with gusto and really embraced a very different environment to what he was used to. I stayed one and a half weeks at the place, which is an old school used for various artistic projects. I loved the atmosphere of the building, which is huge with many rooms, one unlike the other and with still a ton of potential. I could easily get lost there even after a week.

Balint stayed with us for almost a month. He is a nice and friendly guy who is working hard and always willing to learn any new type of work. He helped us with a lot of carpentry, painting and some gardening, and did a good job.
