Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Azzurra e sono un'infermiera nata in Italia, più precisamente in Toscana. Sono una viaggiatrice alla ricerca di un'esperienza unica e coinvolgente , che mi permetta di imparare cose nuove e conoscere persone uniche.
Sono un'infermiera e pratico anche interventi assistiti con gli animali. La mia passione assoluta è viaggiare, vivere nuove esperienze e conoscere nuove persone. Sono stata in quasi tutte le capitali europee (più qualche città in più), ho fatto 4 viaggi fuori dall'Europa (Egitto, Stati Uniti, Giordania, Thailandia) due dei quali sono completamente da sola! Attualmente, però, ho voglia di qualcosa di nuovo, diverso dal solito "viaggio turistico"... Mi piacerebbe immergermi completamente nel mood del luogo, conoscere le persone che lo abitano e imparare cose nuove. Ho conosciuto WorkAway solo pochi mesi fa grazie ad un'amica e me ne sono completamente innamorata, proprio quello che cercavo! Ho colto al volo l'opportunità, dato che è un periodo libero, ed eccomi qui!
Mi considero una ragazza tranquilla, solare, accomodante e intraprendente. Mi piacciono le cose nuove e mettermi alla prova. Mi piace fare sport, faccio arrampicata e spesso nei fine settimana mi piace andare a visitare qualche villaggio vicino o fare un po' di trekking. Nel tempo libero mi piace anche disegnare e fare un po' di "fai da te" come candele, portagioie, per un amico ho realizzato una cornice in resina e attualmente sto realizzando una cuccia per il mio gattino insieme ad un amico.

Hello everyone, my name is Azzurra, I'm 28 years old and I live in Tuscany. I am a nurse and I also practice animal-assisted interventions. My absolute passion is traveling, living new experiences and meeting new people. I've been to almost all European capitals (plus a few more cities), I've made 4 trips outside Europe (Egypt, United States, Jordan, Thailand) two of which are completely alone! Currently, however, I want something new, different from the usual "tourist trip"... I would like to immerse myself completely in the mood of the place, get to know the people who live there and learn new things. I met WorkAway only a few months ago thanks to a friend and I completely fell in love with it, just what I was looking for! I jumped at the opportunity, since it's a free period, and here I am!
I consider myself a quiet, sunny, easy-going and enterprising girl. I like new things and challenging myself. I like to play sports, I do climbing. On weekends, I often like to visit a nearby village or go trekking. In my free time, I also enjoy drawing and doing some DIY, such as candles and jewelry boxes. I made a resin frame for a friend, and I'm currently making a cat house with a friend.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sono una ragazza molto duttile, sono pronta alle novità e ad imparare cose nuove.
Da Gennaio a Luglio ho potuto fare una bellissima esperienza di volontariato qua in Toscana in un rifugio di animali salvati da situazioni sgradevoli o dal macello. I volontari si prendevano cura degli spazi comuni degli animali, togliendo escrementi, pulendo le mangiatoie, smistando il cibo per le varie specie e, quando serviva, si eseguiva qualche lavoretto per la struttura (costruzione piccola cuccia per maiali, trasporto di oggetti...). E' stato un'impegno tosto ma le bellissime esperienze vissute e le nuove skills acquisite sono state la giusta ricompensa.
Mi piace mettermi alla prova anche a livello lavorativo infatti l'estate del 2025, da giugno a fine agosto, sono stata a fare un volontariato in Madagascar come infermiera in un ospedale fondato da benefattori italiani. E' stata un'esperienza immersiva e stravolgente dove ho dovuto mettere in discussioni i miei valori e le mie credenze. Si parla di lavorare in un ospedale a basse risorse, dove il lusso del tutto non esiste.
Parlo italiano come madrelingua e inglese medio. Mi piacerebbe consolidare l'inglese e, magari, imparare qualche altra lingua. Mi rendo disponibile per lezioni di italiano.
Ho vissuto da sola in un monolocale per 4 anni a Bologna, mi trasferii lì per lavoro ed è stata un'esperienza bellissima, in primis perché ho imparato a gestire i miei spazi e i miei impegni, ho imparato la burocrazia (qua in Italia c'è TANTISSIMA burocrazia), ho pagato le prime bollette e gestito i miei finanziamenti. Sono stati 4 anni pieni di scoperte, ho conosciuto un sacco di amici che ancora oggi sento.
La mia esperienza lavorativa parte dal 2017-2018 dove ho fatto la cassiera in un'azienda di scarpe per permettermi qualche sfizio (studiavo all'università). Successivamente mi sono laureata e dal 2019 ho iniziato a lavorare come infermiera prima in Toscana poi a Bologna. Attualmente sono tornata in Toscana da fine Gennaio e mi sono rimessa in gioco facendo un lavoretto part-time in un laboratorio analisi (nel mentre facevo volontariato) e ho iniziato un corso per gli interventi assistiti con gli animali.

I am a very flexible girl, I am ready for new things and to learn new things.
From January to July I was able to have a wonderful volunteer experience here in Tuscany in a shelter for animals rescued from unpleasant situations or from the slaughterhouse. The volunteers took care of the common areas of the animals, removing excrement, cleaning the feeders, sorting the food for the various species and, when needed, some work was carried out for the structure (construction of a small kennel for pigs, transport of objects...). It was a tough commitment but the wonderful experiences lived and the new skills acquired were the right reward.
I also like to challenge myself professionally. In fact, in the summer of 2025, from June to the end of August, I volunteered in Madagascar as a nurse at a hospital founded by Italian benefactors. It was an immersive and transformative experience, where I had to question my values ​​and beliefs. We're talking about working in a hospital with limited resources, where luxury is completely nonexistent.
I speak Italian as a native speaker and average English. I would like to consolidate my English and, perhaps, learn some other language. I make myself available for Italian lessons.
I lived alone in a studio apartment for 4 years in Bologna, I moved there for work and it was a wonderful experience, first of all because I learned to manage my spaces and my commitments, I learned bureaucracy (here in Italy there is SO MUCH bureaucracy), I paid my first bills and managed my financing. They were 4 years full of discoveries, I met a lot of friends who I still hear from today.
My work experience started in 2017-2018 where I worked as a cashier in a shoe company to allow myself some whim (I was studying at university). Later I graduated and in 2019 I started working as a nurse first in Tuscany then in Bologna. I have currently returned to Tuscany since the end of January and I got back into the game by doing a part-time job in an analysis laboratory (in the meantime I volunteered) and I started a course for animal-assisted interventions.

well what else to say... I have a passion for nature and animals. I like to observe the behavior and communication of animals. I like to be in the middle of nature away from technology, we have done several tent outings in isolated places surrounded by nature. I'm versatile, not very attached to comfort and willing to learn.
