Description
Hi! This is Vitek & Sofia looking for some workawayer help in August/September and maybe even later in the autumn.
We are a couple living apart in two small scale farms in Kloster and Arkhyttan (20 km apart), two nice villages in the middle of the beautiful agricultural landscape of the southern Dalarna. We both have two children (ages 7, 11, 12, 13) and are a part of the village communities consisting of many open minded people doing things together. We do permaculture gardening for growing food, striving for self-sufficiency and sustainability. The animals we have are two cats, 4 beehives, chichens, ducks and rabbits. You are going to live and work on our farm in Kloster.
We live in traditional old red houses from the end of the 18th century. We try to do everything by ourselves and are striving for an alternative, ecological and sustainable lifestyle. We actively develop the community resilience of the village and have an electric car. We enjoy getting to know new people, sharing and cooperation. We can many languages: Swedish, English, Czech, German and French.
Because of the planned renovation projects we gonna need your help with especially painting and building.

We have lived and worked abroad and have rich experiences as volunteers. Also, we enjoy speaking many languages.
There are many friendly people in the neighbourhood, so you will also meet other locals every day. 10 km from us is a center for permaculture if you are interested in that (in the village of Stjärnsund). There are many creative people and small companies in the area we live in. There are many activities happening in the area such as dance, singing evenings, courses in permaculture etc.

There are some specific projects planned we need your help with, especially some renovation and painting outside.
You will be involved even in usual summer tasks in the garden, like growing vegetables, watering and household jobs (cooking, dishes, cleaning). Even playing with children if you like :-).
We would like your help maximum 25 hours a week, often divided as 4-5 hours a day 5-6 days a week.

Hébergement
We offer you your own room in the garden house and provide food during your stay. Our eating philosophy is the local food as much as possible. We would like that even you can appreciate that and want to try out our local eating culture, regardless meat or other preferences.

During your free time, you can go for walks in the nature. You can hang out with other people or join us on a trip to the local town of Hedemora or Säter. Our closest train station is in Hedemora, 20 minutes away - you can go to Uppsala, Stockhom, Falun. You also might enjoy borrowing a bike and exploring lakes nearby.
