Description
Hello!
My name is Audrey, but my friends often call me La Dre. I'm originally from Paris, France, and I now live in Toulouse. I work there as a French teacher for adults who are settling in France — and I absolutely love what I do!
I'm a very curious person, so I enjoy doing all kinds of different activities: theatre, music (I play percussion and the ukulele), dance, and sports… I often go to art exhibitions or live performances with friends, because I love sharing those beautiful experiences with others.
When I travel, my top priority is discovering another culture — a different way of seeing things, of living, of looking at the world and daily life. I always try to learn a bit of the local language so I can communicate and better understand the people I meet.
I'm someone who’s both sociable and a bit of a loner — I love spending time with others, but I also need quiet moments alone to recharge. I'm not very picky when it comes to comfort, and I'm usually quite independent… and especially a food lover!
As for my past travels: I used to travel a lot by car around Europe, because back then I had a dog, and we went everywhere together. So I went to Italy, England, Spain, Portugal… The best part was that my dog often became the bridge between me and other people — a great way to meet and connect!
I also spent a few years living in Burkina Faso, in West Africa, where I worked in mobile cinema. That time of my life definitely changed the way I see the world. It helped me realize that there are as many ways to understand and experience life as there are people.
Since coming back to France, I’ve had the chance to visit Vietnam — where my brother got married — and Mexico, where my best friend is from. In both countries, I was welcomed into the family, which allowed me to experience daily life as well as the incredible cultural richness of each place.
And my next destination? Thailand — a country that holds deep meaning in my current partner’s life. I’ll be going on my own, with my backpack and ukulele, to explore the country, its culture, the people, and their way of life. At the end of the trip, my partner will join me there to show me the places and things that are important to him!
Looking forward to meet you !Langues

I'd love to learn Thai during this trip! And of course, I can teach French in a fun and accurate way! I could probably teach English too, even though I’ve never officially done it before.Compétences et connaissances que j'aimerais partager ou apprendre

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I’m a hands-on person — I love making things with my hands: sewing, painting, drawing, building things out of wood or anything else that inspires me.
I’m also full of energy — I’m not afraid of outdoor manual work!
I’m a teacher, so sharing knowledge, passing on a skill or some expertise — whether it’s my native language or another one — is part of my everyday life.
And I’m a fast learner: even if I don’t know how to do something yet, I usually pick things up quickly just by observing and practicing!Âge

Autres infos...
I absolutely love games in general —
ball games, card games, dice games… I just love playing!
And ideally, I prefer collaborative games where everyone can win together.
Among the hobbies I haven’t mentioned yet: I read and write a lot.
Right now, I’m co-writing a science fiction novel with a friend — it’s such an exciting project!Informations complémentaires
