  Description

  We are a Swedish and English couple who have travelled extensively but have had a home in the Azorean islands for 33 years. We live on a large property with a stream, gardens, fruit trees etc . We love growing our own food and foraging . We also try and eat local produce where possible .

  Living in a beautiful rural area close to the sea there are endless possibilities to hike, swim, snorkel, surf , and weather permitting sail. Being experienced house and furniture builders there will be ample opportunity to learn or share DIY skills . Learn about the amazing Azorean culture and history.

  We are looking for help in the garden and with restoration DIY projects on our large property.

  There is a bus service but hitch hiking is popular . Local village is a 30 minute walk and the natural swimming pool and sea is about the same distance .You can travel with us when we visit the town. .Our philosophy is generally work hard play hard ( we love to get out on the ocean ) !! However there has to be room for flexibility around the changeable Azorean weather !!
