Hi I’m Astrid! I’m from the US and have been au pairing for the past 3 years. I started au pairing in Japan for two boys (8 and 6) teaching them English, then New Zealand for three girls (1, 3, and 5), and now Australia for two boys (4 and 6) cooking all of the family meals. Before au pairing I did freelance babysitting for multiple families with infants to preteens, supporting daily routines, school drop off and pickup, playtime, homework, and bedtime.

I would say that I am a very independent person and always try to take initiative in things, I love challenging myself and learning new things. I love playing the drums, fashion design, and soccer/football. I really love making things whether it’s baking, drawing, painting, or sewing, art always makes me happy! I am very patient and adaptable.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been baby sitting for as long as I can remember not only being an older sister, but the eldest of 10 cousins. I am also certified in CPR and first aid.

I grew up in a family cooking and baking everything. My mom is a pastry chef and works for a catering buisiness and both of my parents have worked in the restaurant industry.

My dad works in restoration and carpentry I also worked at a hardware store so I have some knowledge with power tools and at home projects.

Along with fashion design/sewing, I love braiding hair and trying to do different hairstyles. I also really want to learn how to do nails and eventually get a nail tech license.
