Hi I’m Astrid! I’m from the US and will be in Tokyo for the next three years on a student visa. I am a first generation college student and am very hard working. As I am paying myself to be in school, I would love the opportunity to help someone while saving on money for housing.

I am majoring in Psychology and plan to have a career where I get to work with children and advocate for mental health issues. I would really love to come and nanny (I miss my baby cousins, little sister, and puppy). I am very experienced in babysitting and have been in care taking for almost 8 years. I can also cook, clean, do house maintenance, along with helping with learning English. I am currently learning Japanese but am still a beginner.

As for being a student, my class schedule will not be a problem, once I find a host family I can build my next schedule around them so the earliest I can start is December. My student visa also includes a work permit allowing me to work up to 28hr a week.

Along with psychology, I am minoring in art and want to incorporate fashion design into my career. I would say that I am a very independent person and always try to take initiative in things, I love challenging myself and learning new things. I love playing the drums, fashion design, and soccer/football. I really love making things whether it’s baking, drawing, painting, or sewing, art always makes me happy! I am very patient and adaptable, I want to try my best to be as respectful as a foreigner in japan. I can’t wait to try new things and experience Japanese’s culture!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been baby sitting for as long as I can remember not only being an older sister, but the eldest of 10 cousins. I am also certified in CPR and first aid.

I grew up in a family cooking and baking everything. My mom is a pastry chef and works for a catering buisiness and both of my parents have worked in the restaurant industry.

My dad works in restoration and carpentry I also worked at a hardware store so I have some knowledge with power tools and at home projects.

Along with fashion design/sewing, I love braiding hair and trying to do different hairstyles. I also really want to learn how to do nails and eventually get a nail tech license.
