Hellooo !

I am super excited and I don't really know where to start this description ! So, let's keep it simple. Or else I'll ramble on about Clarice Lispector, movies or some other current obsession.

I'm Aela :) I am 21 y.o. I'm French and I just graduated from a three-year acting course in Paris. I am currently on a sabbatical, looking to meet new people, exchange cultures and most importantly *learn*. Whatever it is that you can teach me, I'm open to humbly receiving that knowledge !

Since I've started my gap year, I've been filling up my time by working at a crêpe store, taking boxing lessons and teaching myself Portuguese.

I'm interested in arts in whatever shape or form. I would love to share with you the little knowledge I've acquired in theatre and voice. I'd also be happy to give you some fun facts about French, Spanish and Catalan culture.

Yes ! Absolutely. I love languages. I'm trying to learn Portuguese at the moment and would love to be able to practice it. My native language is French but I'm also fluent in English as well as Spanish. Which I learned living in Barcelona for five years. If you're interested in those languages, I'd be more than happy to teach you !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

* Cooking: I really enjoy preparing meals for other people. I'm always looking for new and delicious recipes. My favorite world cuisines are Indian and East-Asian. (Also, if you'd like to try crêpes and galettes, I've recently learned to make them the proper way :)

* I'm not the most experienced, but I've done some gardening on my grandmother's vegetable patch. I'd love to learn more about being self-sufficient.

* I’m great with animals, whatever species. I love being around them, feeding them and taking care of them in general. I have experience cleaning chicken coops, feeding farm animals and treating my sick cat.

* I’ve acquired some experience with children over the years taking care of my brother. I could spend whole afternoons reading stories to him, inventing games and playing at the park. I also did baby-sitting for a whole year when I lived in Spain.

* From working several jobs as a waitress, I’d say I’ve become very adaptable and quick on my feet. Plus, I have learned that I genuinely enjoy welcoming people in and making sure they’re having an enjoyable time !

* This might come in handy: I'm good at cleaning...

* I have also given a few English and Spanish classes to teenagers who needed support with their homework.

Aaalright ! Here is a little bit more about who I am:

If I ever get the chance to meet you, you might find that I am a calm and gentle person. Just as much as I paradoxically have the energy of three people all combined ! I'm up for any tasks, even the most arduous of chores. I'm always willing and you never have to ask me to do something twice.

Among the things I love most is nature. I went on a seven-day hike in Scotland last year with a friend and I plan on repeating that I experience. Almost all of my most vivid memories involve being surrounded by wilderness.

I also spend most of my time reading, discovering music and watching movies. In addition to that, I absolutely love doing any kind of physical activity. Whether it's exploring a city, surfing, cycling, climbing or yoga...I need to move !

I care deeply about animal rights and the environment. I care just as much about social justice in general. I have rarely done charity work. However, I have been wanting to get involved in my community for a while now.

What is more, I am very respectful of other people and my surroundings. (You won't have to worry about me leaving a mess. You see that tidy corner in the room ? It's mine !
I always try to be available for other people and lend them an ear if needed. And, what seems most vital to me: being as open-minded and understanding as I can.
