Robin and Grant are absolute gems. They’re incredibly hardworking and full of wisdom, and staying with them was truly special. They welcomed me like family, even taking me out for run and to the beach. Their pets especially the dogs are adorable. This is one of those experiences I’ll look back on and smile.

Pablo is an excellent host: kind, supportive and always positive. Though I volunteered only for 5 days, he was very understanding amd went out of his way to make me comfortable. He ensured that I worked only the daily work hours. In fact, he gave me the flexibility to choose the number of hours I worked every day. Pablo also gave me a lot of useful local information and took me personally to a local ferry company amd immigration office for my travel requirements. Tigre is a dreamy riverside town where one can relax in clean environs. Its just 30kms from Buenos Aires and is well connected by train and bus. I was very fortunate to have an excellent host again. Thank you, Pablo, for everything and being so nice. 100% recommended.

We are very grateful to Rosemary, Francis and Jethro for welcoming us for a week. We really enjoyed this Workaway experience. First of all, we asked on the same day if we could arrive that evening, and Rosemary accepted. Rosemary has a very inspiring career and an incredible energy. The work was different every day and mostly outdoors, which was very pleasant, especially in such a beautiful garden. The tasks were clear and well explained, and we had plenty of time for ourselves and to explore Sydney and Oatley. We discovered incredibles places thanks to her advices. The place where they live is incredible, and the "cabana" where we stayed is just amazing. Sydney is easily accessible by public transport. We truly appreciated that you took the time to spend moments with us even though you were busy. Your family story is unique and really interesting, and we loved meeting you.

I stayed with Iain, Chie and India at their lovely home for one week and I had a very nice first workaway experience with them. I was housesitting and looked after their daughter India for a few days when Iain and Chie were out of town. During my stay I was looking after the goats, chickens and rabbits as well as watering the garden. I was also doing some housetasks at their home. Iain and his family were very welcoming and generous. I would come back anytime again :-)

This was my first work away and I am blown away by how much I've had fun, learned about gardening, created friendships and how magical this experience has been overall. I worked a few hours a day in exchange for food and accommodation and let me just say, the food was DELICIOUS and healthy. They even catered to my vegan diet which I'm so grateful for. Carolita and Chris are kind, fair and respectful individuals who I've gotten to know for the past 2 weeks. I feel so lucky to have had the privilege to go to this exchange. The tasks to do were fair, well explained how to do if I didn't know how to do it and also weather safe. They have a beautiful house, forest and 2 lovely cats called Bootsy and Lily which I'll also miss very much. Ines💛

I spent three weeks at Huber's. My experience was incredible. He's a very generous man, with his time, advices and knowledge. The tasks are very diverse, you never get bored! The accommodation is very comfortable; you feel right at home. The finca is paradise, and the location is ideal for exploring the region. Thanks Huber, Pura Vida!

It's hard to put into words the experience I had staying with Ximena and Wenceslao. Traveling is an ever changing world, but my brief time in Patagonia staying in a beautiful place with beautiful people, allowed me to look deeper within myself and the world. I found a lot of happiness in the quiet and simple tasks I was given; taking care of the animals, weeding the outdoor garden, and watering the greenhouse. Every meal was delicious and served with a side of great conversation. I would absolutely recommend this Workaway if you are looking to spend more time in the mountains, think deeply about life, or enjoy the humor and cooking. I can't thank you enough for welcoming me into your home! I will miss you, Fika, Kitty, Maxi, and especially the inspirational Rocco! I can't wait to come back!

En el poco tiempo que Marlene estuvo con nosotros la experiencia laboral estuvo bien, realizó adecuadamente las actividades que se le encomendaron. Tuvimos una buena relación social con ella y su buen español facilito la integración con la familia.

Selma was helpful, attentive and focussed in her work. She was clear about where her skills could be best put to use, and super helpful on the occasions when I needed a little extra help. We had some great conversations and she even warmed up to Kali, after initially being a little cautious. Altogether a very lovely Workaway guest

I don’t even know where to begin - this was my first Workaway experience and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better one. I stayed for about two months and had the most amazing time. Elin and Thomas are some of the kindest, most considerate people I know, I immediately felt really safe and accepted when I arrived. Their daughter Emilia is the sweetest ever and will keep you worked out once she feels comfortable enough to play with you.;) The cats are super cuddly, too. Everything was so warm and cozy and welcoming, it really felt like home. My friend and I did all sorts of different tasks - lots of painting, organising, cleaning, some building projects and whatever else needed to be done at the moment. We didn’t really have a lot of experience but we could always ask and never had to do anything we weren’t comfortable with. There wasn’t any pressure or rush, we could start working and take breaks whenever we felt like it and the atmosphere while working was very easy-going and relaxed. During our free time, we were never bored. We were allowed to take anything we wanted - from the cars to the music instruments to boardgames to Elin’s countless books. I got introduced to a lot of amazing new music, (pretty weird) shows, films, musicals and, of course, games. When they say “lots of Warhammer”, they mean it. You cannot escape it anywhere.:D Elin also gave us some great advice on which places to visit, so we got to pet mooses and see some beautiful landscapes besides the literal fantasy forest right next door. So especially if you like books and book-talks, music, films or games, you will more than love it here. I learned a lot during my stay, work wise but also about all sorts of nerdy stuff and myself, too. I’m endlessly grateful for this experience. It was incredibly hard for me to leave this place, I miss you guys so, so much and can’t wait to come back!!<33

Adrian was with us for about one week and a half and he was always willing to give out a hand wherever it was needed. He might be young but he is really open to learning and to feedbacks wich are really good qualities. He has a lot to learn and we are pretty sure he already learned a lot since the beginning of his travel! Adran is shy at first but then he gets more comfortable and likes sharing stories and spending time with the family. While he was with us he helped with many different things like shoveling all the snow we had every day! picking up peppers, cleaning, making the dishes, cutting peppers anf more. We wants to do the job right and asks the good questions. He is mature for his age, clean, respectfull of the space and others, willing to try, funny, hard worker! we wish you a great continuity in your travels =)

Maftuna was a kind, intelligent, and engaging guest. Because we shared a common language, I sometimes felt like I was chatting with an old friend. Sometimes we laughed, sometimes we reflected. :) She made Uzbek pilaf for me. She helped with post-harvest chores in our garden. The house was clean and tidy, with a helpful personality that followed the rules. She promised to visit our farm when she returned to Türkiye. Maftuna I wish you happiness in your travels and life's journey. I wish you happiness always. Nuri

It was really nice to meet Alison. She has a great sense of humor and a very kind heart, especially when it comes to caring for animals. During the days we spent together, we had fun and enjoyed easygoing conversations. She was a great help here: keeping an eye on our chicken coop, watering the greenhouse, and weeding the outside garden. Allison has an easygoing personality and amazing energy for outdoor activities. All the pets around the house are definitely missing her kind soul in this little corner of the world. We wish you all the best in your future adventures. Kind regards, Wence, Xime, Rocco, Fika, Kitty and Maxi 💚

I spent 5 months on the rancho, starting in June, which is very hot and dry...a real desert environment with rattle snakes and scorpions. Watering plants daily with buckets was a great workout and refilling the water barrels with the pump was a new learning for me. The solar was also new to me as well as the generator, which i needed during the rainy month. I learnt so many new skills as well as got a deep feel for the Mexican desert. Only 10km away are the most beautiful beaches where the dogs and i loved to cool off and enjoy the water and sand. The dogs, cat and chickens crept into my heart and were wonderful company for me. I loved my huge big bed in the room above the kitchen with a window on each wall, where i could watch the sun rise and set, the mOOn wax & wane and see the stars twinkle! The kitchen has everything you could want in it and there is a washing machine too. The shower & toilet is outside and rustic which is perfect. One is totally isolated on the ranch...just Nature for company...what an amazing gift❣️... Dane spent 2 weeks training me before he & Sabrina left....he is a patient and good teacher. Once they left we communicated via text & voice message which was fine. They left a list of tasks to be done daily, weekly & monthly & then left me to complete them in my own way which i greatly appreciated! They were always grateful & understanding and very generous too. This experience has changed me for the better & i will never forget it...what a unique gift!...wOw❣️

Having Melisa and Nahuel staying with us was a very nice experience and a good demonstration of a nourishing cultural exchange. Their contribution to our home was fantastic. They brought a high level of energy and enthusiasm applying it to their allotted tasks. With their help we made a new compost bin that reached 74c very fast and that is not a simple task to achieve. They created a new veggie patch and planted new seedlings. And most importantly they managed to tame the lawn that was already knee high and cut it down to soil level, that by itself is a major contribution. Not to mention the hedge that disappeared into the chipper and become a good feed for the compost. Best of all was helping to sort out the garage, we now have a clear path to the door, its so so amazing. At night we sometime go to the garage just to walk the free lane and enjoy it :). In the kitchen they kept the place clean and in order and made us very tasty Beef Criolla which I highly recommend. Evening we spent talking and conversing which flew nicely and they will tell you they have limited English but actually fine and they communicated very well. Thank you once again for all your hard work. Wishing you safe travels and I have no doubt we will meet again.

I spent six weeks here, which is a large house tucked away in a fjord near Tromsø and run by Wind. Wind is an extraordinary person, mysterious, generous, kind, and incredibly trusting. The place can be a bit chaotic at times, but the independence and flexibility he gives to volunteers create a very democratic and empowering atmosphere where you truly feel at home. I was able to work on many rendom projects while supporting his ideas. The nature around the house is stunning, surrounded by the impressive Lyngen Alps. We often went fishing, and it’s also easy to go mushroom picking or take day trips to Tromsø whenever you like. The work was varied, mostly small construction tasks, and there were often other volunteers aroundand even Sami's friend, which made the place lively and creative. Wind also has many artistic ambitions, including musical projects. This is a unique and welcoming place full of possibilities, beautiful landscapes, and memorable encounters. I really hope it will grow with time 🫶🏼

I had a really good stay with Ola, Jeremy, and the rest of the family. They have done amazing things with the backpackers building - wildly impressed with their work ethic and commitment to breathing new life into the place. Enjoyed the work, too. Learned a lot about how to make beds and fold sheets - presentation is everything! Ola is a straightforward communicator, and has very high standards, so it was a helpful learning experience. Thanks for your generosity and kindness throughout my time here. Good luck for the rest of the adventure. Best, Jonnie

I spent two truly enriching weeks at this meditation retreat with Sture and Jonas. Sture welcomed me with incredible generosity and a lot of flexibility. The house was peaceful, and we practiced meditation three times a day, which was truly an honor. Although it wasn’t mandatory, it was wonderful to join in. Communication with Stur was smooth, and the food was delicious. The work could be demanding and sometimes messy, especially in the dark evenings of Sweden, but the atmosphere remained positive. The surrounding nature was gorgeous, with a magnificent lake, and the city of Uppsala was easily accessible for weekend getaways. Stur even allowed me to go there on weekends, which was lovely.

Omed and Wanda visited us at just the right time, as we were needing help building compost bins for the school composting program in Corozal District. Omed took right to the task. He was familiar with using the electric saws and constructing the frames of the bins. Wanda helped out with house chores and weeding. She did a great job. Jim and I enjoyed their company. They were independent, thoughtful, courteous, great to work with, and nice conversationalist. I wish they could have had a longer stay, however, I am excited for their travel plans and adventures. These two are really great people.
