We all loved Kamilla. She became a part of the family. She was very respectful, real and helpful. We realised that writing the things to eachother apart from just saying it was the best way for us to be allined in the activities. She is very independent so we just "helped" her getting important information for her to move around in the beginning and then she did what she had to do. Thank you so much for everything and for the time shared. Isabel still talks about you! Best!

Ci siamo divertiti lavorando e ridendo. torna presto.

Bella is probably the perfect Workawayers! She spent 1 month at our house. It's like she's always been there. Always joyful, involved, dynamic and full of life. It quickly became more integrated, and progressed well in French. She has brought her valuable skills in permaculture, tree care. She took care of the horses with great autonomy. It is truly a beautiful person model for a beautiful future of the planet.

I had a great six-week stay with Scott in Ireland. I felt very welcome from the beginning and quickly became part of the daily routine. The work with the horses was varied and enjoyable – I learned a lot about horse care and appreciated the hands-on experience. Scott is a kind and relaxed host who explains tasks clearly and creates a positive atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to ride and spend time with the horses and Susie:) Overall, it was a very valuable experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys working with animals and wants to improve their English in a everyday setting.

This is a project like very few others. What first made me join was the permaculture itself, which I really enjoyed doing but it so happened to also be the perfect opportunity to discover the Hare Krishna community. In this place, are living around 100 people sharing one spiritual belief that brings them together. I was therefore very happy to immerse myself in a new lifestyle and learn. The work itself was very pleasant and fun, Thibault was a great guide and always made sure that all was going for the best. Every morning we had breakfast together, worked well in the morning and then had the afternoon off. I was able to go for walks, attend ceremonies in the temple and spend some free time relaxing. Hanna was very kind too and the communication was very fluid :-) I would recommend it to anyone ready to come with an open mind to discover something totally new, which can be pretty far from your average Workaway project. Thanks for welcoming me

I stayed two weeks and it was better than I'd hoped. The valley and its sunsets are beautiful and there was always something to do: cutting down invasive acacia, digging a latrine, helping with farming, looking after the animals (hens, two cats, a dog, and a pony), helping out with chores like cooking or projects. Alina is a caring host and considers what work you're able for and comfortable doing, as well as cooking delicious meals and keeping a bowl of trail mix well-stocked! Accomodation is incredibly comfortable: I stayed in a huge bell tent with mattress and plenty of blankets. There was also a stove in the tent but it was never cold enough to use it (mid to late March). The location is also secluded but it's only a short walk to the nearby village, and that village is well-served by a bus service.

Staying with Marc and Kerriane was absolutely a highlight of our time in Australia! We felt so grateful for the opportunity to connect with Australians who are so passionate about their land and lifestyle, helping out for a month on their property! Their generosity was unwaivering and we had a lot of fun getting to know them, their friends, their farm, and the beautiful area they live in. We would recommend, given the opportunity, to stay more than 2 weeks to get accustomed to the daily routines you’ll regularly help out with, such as the dishes. We really enjoyed joining Marc at nursery once a week, removing invasives on the property, helping in Kerrianne's garden, and cooking with their son Jai who has a wealth of knowledge on cooking delicious vegetarian food! In fact, they inspired us to go vegetarian after our stay! Overall, they are really fun folks to hang out with and helped us feel really welcome. Learning to make peppery mango chutney and homeamde saurkraught was a highlight, as well as picking lychees, seeing Marc kitesurf, making countless pies with leftovers, as well as the magical visit we had from one of their resident pythons! In our free time, we really appreciated the initiative they took to get us out to the beach, take us hiking, and introduce us to their friends when going out to open mic nights and concerts! They truly are very generous, kind, fun, and caring hosts! We won’t forget all the great music we listened to together, the many funny stories shared together, all the amazing homegrown foods, and the opportunity to learn about the local ecology of the area! Thank you!!

I spent three wonderful weeks with Miriam and felt warmly welcomed from the very first moment. Miriam is an incredibly energetic and kind person who radiates enthusiasm and positivity. We spent a lot of time landscaping her new garden, and even though I didn’t have much experience at first, I quickly gained confidence while working on a variety of tasks. Miriam was always there to support me and made me feel completely comfortable asking questions whenever something wasn’t clear. Communication was excellent throughout my stay. Miriam was always attentive to any questions or concerns I had and genuinely cared about making my experience as enjoyable as possible. We also shared many interesting and meaningful conversations about all kinds of topics, which I already miss a lot. I can wholeheartedly recommend Miriam as a host and truly hope that many more lovely Workawayers will have the chance to stay with her in the future. I’m very grateful for everything I learned about gardening and Irish culture during my time there :) That’s exactly what Workaway is all about.

Great experience! The teachers and staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. There was always directions in how your language skills were needed with each student or group of students including games, workbooks, and activities. Accommodation was comfortable. Students were also very friendly. I would recommend to anyone!

The two months I spent at the livery were probably the best two months of my life ! I got to work in a gorgeous place, with the sweetest horses and the nicest people. Ryan is an amazing host, always there when you need him, he will make sure you have everything you need and that you feel good. He even found a way to send me back my sandals I forgot in Dublin by asking his daughter to get them for me. Not a lot of people would go this far to help you. I can't say enough good things about everyone I met there because they all were the nicest people I ever met. I felt comfortable right away. I had the chance to work with another Workaway, Heather, and we hit it off right away. She became a true friend and I could not have asked for a better partner in crime. We went on numerous hack on the beach and caring for the horses even when our work was done. The work is pretty easy, you will work only around 5 hours a day so you will have a lot of free time to explore the area. There is a lot of things to see and do around and you're just an hour away from Derry (which I recommend visiting!). You could also ride one of Ryan horses on the beach (wich if a few metres away from the livery), on the road or in the arena. I don't have enough word to say how much fun I had during my stay there and how thankful I am to Ryan and everyone I met there for making this adventure memorable.

It was great to spend time in Monika, Werner and Olivier's home in the beautiful Jura! Monika spent time telling some current and past stories of Switzerland. Werner was helpful in explaining what he needed done and how. We ate so well and varied, it was great for me to learn a few vegan tricks to bring home. I had a good time and everyone was chill and kind. It was easy to find a moment off if needed, or to share activities together. And it's super well served by public transports, despite the remote area. I could go to Geneva for a wee 2 days trip!

I had a very pleasant 2 weeks stay with Michael and Aurelia. They are genuinely kind an respectful. With Michael we worked with good music and had interesting talks. And dinner time is always fun with the boys :) The place by itself is beautiful with an incredible view and the caravan is quite comfy and peaceful. I can confidently recommend a stay there

We loved having Robin to stay. He helped us with a variety of different tasks around the property. He is interactive and we had some great conversations. He is clean, tidy and helpful and we highly recommend him.

We enjoyed having Tyler to stay. Once we explained what the task involved, Tyler worked well and got the job done. He was clean and tidy. He helped with some meal preparation which was great. He is a personable and chatty young man.

My time with Daniel was truly something special. The ten days flew by and it didn’t feel like a typical stay at all – it felt more like I had gained a new friend. Because he had quite a full schedule, I ended up working very little, which gave me a lot of time for myself. I really appreciated that, as it allowed me to explore the nearby beaches, slow down, and just enjoy being in the moment. At the same time, the moments we did spend together were genuinely beautiful – whether it was going out for açaí bowls or our late-night motorcycle rides, which I especially loved. All in all, I feel very grateful to have met him. Daniel is a truly special person, and I’m happy to have crossed paths with him. I’m looking forward to supporting and following his journey and hopefully seeing him again soon.
