If that sounds like you, come say hi. We'd love to meet you!We're , an animal welfare project near Osijek, Croatia. We run a dog hotel, and that income lets us help every animal that needs us.
Over the year we care for dogs waiting for adoption, cats, rescued birds, owls, pigs, sheep, a hedgehog, even a fox. Summer is our busiest and liveliest season. Winter is calmer, with fewer wild animals and some very quiet days.
Your day
Four shifts a day, about 4-5 hours of work in total, depending on how many dogs we have
Feed, walk and play with the dogs
Keep kennels, bowls and water fresh and clean
On quieter days: gardening, cleaning and helping around the house
What you'll learn
How dog packs work, how to read dog behavior, and how to keep play safe
Hands-on animal care from people who do it every day
Who we're looking for
Real experience with dogs, or your own well-socialized dog
Confident reading dog play and stopping it before it gets rough.
Fast, organized, responsible and clean!
Punctual: our animals depend on the shifts starting on time
Very good English, so we can communicate clearly about animal care
Minimum stay: 1 month (longer is even better!)

A charming wooden house in our yard, 20 m from our home, shared only with other volunteers. We lived there ourselves, so it has literally everything: kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, dryer, AC, wood stove and more. See the photos! -

My month at Renata's was great ! She made us feel so welcomed and at home. She had great advices about things to visit and try around Croatia.
