Hello
We are a small, family-run hotel located in Puerto Viejo, Playa Chiquita, one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of the Costa Rican Caribbean. Our place has four bungalows, a swimming pool, green areas, Wi-Fi, private parking, and a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature.
We love this project because it's simple, personal, and very welcoming. We're not a large hotel or a chain; here, everything is done with calm, respect, and positive energy. The volunteers who come here usually enjoy the tranquility, the beach, the rainforest, and the Caribbean rhythm.
No professional experience is necessary, just a willingness to help, responsibility, and a positive attitude. We highly value tidiness, respect for the property, and peaceful coexistence.
Here, you'll live with local people and learn how a small hotel in Costa Rica operates, while enjoying one of the most beautiful places in the country. Ideal for people looking for an authentic experience, contact with nature and a fair exchange

Somos un pequeño hotel familiar ubicado en Puerto Viejo, Playa Chiquita, una de las zonas más tranquilas y bonitas del Caribe costarricense. Nuestro lugar tiene 4 bungalows, una piscina, áreas verdes, wifi, parqueo privado y un ambiente relajado, rodeado de naturaleza.
Nos encanta este proyecto porque es sencillo, humano y muy cercano. No somos un hotel grande ni una cadena; aquí todo se hace con calma, respeto y buena energía. Los voluntarios que vienen suelen disfrutar de la tranquilidad, la playa, la selva y el ritmo caribeño.
No se necesita experiencia profesional, solo ganas de ayudar, responsabilidad y buena actitud. Valoramos mucho el orden, el respeto por el lugar y la convivencia tranquila.
Aquí convivirás con personas locales y aprenderás cómo funciona un pequeño hotel en Costa Rica, mientras disfrutas de uno de los lugares más lindos del país. Ideal para personas que buscan una experiencia auténtica, contacto con la naturaleza y un intercambio justo
En la casa solo vivimos tres personas, vivo yo con mi hija y la pareja de mi hija, más un perro pequeño y tres gatos.

At our place, we offer an authentic and relaxed cultural exchange, based on daily interaction and mutual respect. As a small, family-run hotel, volunteers become part of the daily life, sharing time with locals and experiencing the Costa Rican Caribbean lifestyle firsthand.
Volunteers can connect with the local community, learn about the culture, music, cuisine, and pace of life in Puerto Viejo and Playa Chiquita. They will also have the opportunity to practice their Spanish, share meals, conversations, and everyday experiences.
We enjoy sharing our knowledge about:
• Life in Costa Rica
• How a small hotel operates
• Basic maintenance and organization of spaces

En nuestro lugar ofrecemos un intercambio cultural auténtico y sencillo, basado en la convivencia diaria y el respeto mutuo. Al ser un hotel pequeño y familiar, los voluntarios forman parte del día a día, compartiendo tiempo con personas locales y conociendo de cerca el estilo de vida del Caribe costarricense.
Los voluntarios pueden conectar con la comunidad local, aprender sobre la cultura, la música, la gastronomía y el ritmo de vida de Puerto Viejo y Playa Chiquita. También tendrán la oportunidad de practicar español, compartir comidas, conversaciones y experiencias cotidianas.

We are looking for volunteers to help with simple general maintenance tasks at a small hotel. The work is not strenuous or technical, and is done in a relaxed and well-organized manner.
The tasks mainly include:
• Painting (walls, woodwork, exterior details)
• Garden and green area maintenance
• Basic woodworking (sanding, varnishing, minor repairs)
• General upkeep of the property
We will do most of the tasks together, explaining each step, sharing knowledge, and working in a calm and respectful environment. No professional experience is required, just a good attitude, responsibility, and a willingness to help.
The goal is to gradually improve the space, without pressure, and maintaining a good work-life balance.

Buscamos voluntarios para ayudarnos con tareas sencillas de mantenimiento general en un pequeño hotel, como rastrillar el jardin y cortar plantas ,pintar las casitas y ayudar a limpiarlas o hacer algunos arreglos
El trabajo no es pesado ni técnico, y se realiza con calma y buena organización.
Las tareas incluyen principalmente:
• Pintar (paredes, madera, detalles exteriores)
• Mantenimiento del jardín y áreas verdes
• Trabajos básicos con madera (lijar, barnizar, pequeñas reparaciones)
• Apoyo general de manutención del lugar
La mayoría de las tareas las hacemos juntos, explicando paso a paso, compartiendo conocimientos y trabajando en un ambiente tranquilo y respetuoso. No se requiere experiencia profesional, solo buena actitud, responsabilidad y ganas de ayudar.
El objetivo es mejorar poco a poco el espacio, sin presión y manteniendo un buen equilibrio entre trabajo y tiempo libre.

It's a standard, private room with a bed and wardrobe in the main house where I, a young, my daughter, and her boyfriend will be staying. We provide the sheets and everything else you need for the room.
We provide meals three times a day. You can eat and cook until 9 pm. You can choose what you like to eat: fruit, vegetables, rice, pasta, meat, and fish when available.

Es una habitación estándar, privada, con la cama y armario, en la casa principal donde estaré yo, mi hija y su novio Las sábanas y todo lo que necesita para el cuarto nosotros lo damos.
Las comidas las damos nosotros 3 vez al día, puedes comer y cocinar hasta
las 9 pm ,puede elegir de comer lo que mas le gusta ,fruta verdura ,arroz ,pasta ,carne y cuando hay pescado

In your free time, you're free to do whatever you like: go to town, the beach, the pool, or just relax in your room or the living room. You can get around by bus, taxi, or bike. House rules include: no smoking inside, and noise and music must be kept to a minimum.

En tu tiempo libre eres libre de hacer lo que quieras, ir al pueblo, a la playa, piscina o estar en tu habitación o en la sala, puedes transportarte en bus, taxi y en bici también.
Unos reglamentos de la casa es: no se puede fumar dentro de la casa, el ruido o música deben de ser controlados.
