Farm and historic preservation in a traditional medieval village in Montebuono, Italy

  Description

  We are a small farm and artists residency located in Montebuono (RI) one hour from Rome, Italy. We are looking for mature, independent volunteers to help with general garden duties such as cutting and pruning fruit trees (olives and grapevines), cutting grass, burning debris, and garden work like planting and hoeing. Some operation of gas-powered equipment (lawnmower, brush cutter, chainsaw) may be included based on experience.
  
  Additional duties bases on experience include home improvement like painting and large and small repairs to our historic structure and residency house.
  
  A drivers license is helpful for running errands. Some house-sitting duties are available if there is interest and depending on dates.
  
  Volunteers will stay at the residency house in the town of Montebuono, which has all amenities, while the farm is a 15-minute walk. Lodging is included and there is a small stipend for board depending on hours, TBD.
  
  The house has all equipment for an analog photography darkroom and we host projects in fresco painting.
  
  We are artists and art professors. We are founders of thebottegaprojects, an artist collective and residency program.
  
  Rome is accessible by public transportation.

  Hébergement

  Independent house. Private or shared house in town with kitchen. two double bedrooms, studio space, and one bathroom, some outdoor space. Each bedroom has a private work space for artwork or study.
  Volunteer hours (approximately 4 -5 hours per day) cover lodging. Meals are not included. This situation is great for independent workaways who have a personal project.
