  Description

  This project was born from the idea of taking advantage of family land and with the goal of living in a more sustainable, simple and resilient way.
  
  To date (2023) we have been experimenting and learning in different directions for 3 years. Some of the projects that we are most interested in developing here are growing mushrooms, growing food, treating our organic waste and producing compost, caring for water, regenerating the soil and sharing space through experiences, hosting and volunteers.
  This year we started with the rental of 3 different spaces, so currently a large part of the work is focused on housework and/or dealing with guests.
  
  Personally, I want this space to give each person a place where they can feel calm and have enriching experiences.
  We are looking for people who want to learn by experimenting and who can work in a team and also on their own in a calm pace of life. Communication, openness to trying different things, respect and responsibility are fundamental to sharing space and tasks in harmony.
  
  The land is in a small town on the outskirts of El Chico, Mexico's first national park. If you like hiking, climbing/bouldering or being in natural spaces, this is the place!
  
  
  *This town has a limited water supply so I ask volunteers to take care of this resource. That they make use of the dry toilet (it is important that they are aware of whether they will feel comfortable using this system) and limit showers to what is necessary.
  *As for food, the idea is to cook and eat together during work days. These days I provide the food, any cooking ideas are welcome. On days off, each one is responsible for their food unless we agree otherwise here.

  Este proyecto nació de la idea de aprovechar un terreno familiar y con la meta de vivir de una manera más sostenible, sencilla y resiliente.
  
  A la fecha (2023) llevamos 3 años experimentando y aprendiendo en distintas direcciones. Algunos de los proyectos que más nos interesa desarrollar aquí son el cultivo de hongos, el cultivo de alimentos, el tratamiento de nuestro residuos orgánicos y la producción de compost, el cuidado del agua, la regeneración del suelo y compartir el espacio mediante experiencias, hospedaje y voluntariados.
  Este año arrancamos con la renta de 3 espacios diferentes por lo que actualmente gran parte de la labor está enfocada en quehaceres domésticos y/o el trato con los huéspedes.
  
  En lo personal, quiero que este espacio le dé a cada persona un lugar donde pueda sentirse tranquilo y tener experiencias enriquecedoras.
  Buscamos personas que quieran aprender experimentando y que puedan trabajar en equipo y también por su cuenta en un ritmo de vida tranquilo. La comunicación, la apertura a probar cosas diferentes, el respeto y la responsabilidad son fundamentales para compartir el espacio y las tareas en armonía.
  
  El terreno está en un pequeño pueblo a las afueras de El Chico, el primer parque nacional de México. Si te gusta el senderismo, la escalada / boulder o estar en espacios naturales, ¡este es el lugar!
  
  
  *Este pueblo tiene un suministro de agua limitado por lo que les pido a los voluntarios que cuiden este recurso. Que hagan uso del baño seco (es importante que estén conscientes de si se sentirán cómodos usando este sistema) y limiten las duchas a lo necesario.
  *En cuanto a la comida, la idea es cocinar y comer juntos durante los días de trabajo. En estos días yo proveo los alimentos, cualquier idea para cocinar es bienvenida. En los días libres, cada uno es responsable de su alimentación salvo que aquí acordemos lo contrario.

  I am always willing to modify tasks and plans a bit to work on areas of interest that volunteers have and/or share what knowledge I have. I am also open to listen to proposals and start talks to reach agreements for everyone.
  
  Siempre estoy dispuesto a modificar un poco las tareas y los planes para trabajar en áreas de interés que tengan los voluntarios y/o compartir el conocimiento que tenga. También estoy abierto a escuchar propuestas y entablar pláticas para llegar a acuerdos en pro de todos.

  Aide

  I am currently working with only one or two volunteers, and the help I need is mainly on daily tasks.
  The main activity at this time are the accommodations that we offer in the space.
  We dedicate approximately 6 hours a week to cleaning both the spaces for rent and the main house where we live. Sometimes I also make sure that the volunteers receive the guests or keep an eye on the departures, so currently the days off for the volunteers are during the week.
  
  
  Other activities that are carried out at the same time are:
  -Arrangement and adaptation of different spaces on the ground.
  -Work of living areas and the orchard (depending on the season and water availability)
  -Cultivation of mushrooms (Oysters) for self-consumption.
  -Production of different types of compost.
  -Care (feeding and cleaning) of animals (dogs and chickens)
  
  MARKETING - We are also interested in people who can contribute creative work for the development of communication strategies for our projects and goals, content creation and/or dynamics to take advantage of and offer in this space.

  Actualmente estoy trabajando con solo uno o dos voluntari@s, y la ayuda que necesito es principalmente en tareas diarias.
  La actividad principal en este momento son los hospedajes que ofrecemos en el espacio.
  Dedicamos aproximadamente 6 horas a la semana a labores de limpieza tanto de los espacios en renta como de la casa principal que habitamos. También en ocasiones ocupo que los voluntari@s reciban a los huéspedes o estén al pendiente de las salidas, por lo que actualmente los días libres de los voluntari@s son entre semana.
  
  
  Otras actividades que se realizan a la par son:
  -Arreglo y adecuación de diferentes espacios en el terreno.
  -Trabajo de áreas vivas y el huerto (según la temporada y disponibilidad del agua)
  -Cultivo de hongos (Oysters) para autoconsumo.
  -Producción de diferentes tipos de compost.
  -Cuidado (alimentación y limpiezas) de los animales (perros y gallinas)
  
  MARKETING - Estamos interesados también en personas que puedan aportar trabajo creativo para el desarrollo de estrategias de comunicación de nuestros proyectos y metas, creación de contenido y/o dinámicas para aprovechar y ofrecer en este espacio.

  Hébergement

  Right now it's a shared room for Workawayers inside the house.
  The idea is to cook together and share home chores. (I will provide the food for the days of work. Please be aware that I don't consume meat during the week.)
  As this place has no government water supply, I always try to encourage visitors and volunteer to use the dry toilet and save water as much as possible.

  El alojamiento actual es una habitación compartida para voluntarios dentro de la casa. La idea es cocinar juntos y repartirnos las tareas de la casa. ( Yo compro la comida para los días de trabajo. Ten en cuenta que no consumo carne durante la semana)
  Este lugar no cuenta con un suministro de agua por parte del gobierno por lo que es importante cuidar el consumo de agua en lo posible.

  The town where we live is very simple, you can find shops, bakeries and the basics. 20 minutes away by car or truck, is Pachuca, the state capital, and there are also several "magical towns" nearby. As I said, there is a National Park right next to us with many places for hiking, rock climbing, among other activities with beautiful scenery. On free days we can organize outings. I like to share time and experiences with people as much as sometimes I like to have my own space to train, do my earrings or relax. I would like you to feel the same freedom if you are around here!

  El pueblo donde vivimos es muy sencillo, puedes encontrar tiendas, panaderías y
  lo básico. A 20 minutos en carro o camión, se encuentra Pachuca, la capital del estado y también hay varios "pueblos mágicos" cercanos.
  Como dije, hay un Parque Nacional justo al lado de nosotros con numerosos lugares para practicar senderismo, escalada en roca, entre otras actividades con paisajes hermosos. En los días libres podemos organizar salidas.
  
  Me gusta compartir tiempo y experiencias con la gente tanto como a veces me gusta tener mi propio espacio para entrenar, hacer mis pendientes o relajarme. ¡Me gustaría que sintieras la misma libertad si estás por aquí!
