Description
Hi. We are Paddy, Rikey and accompanying hens, geese, cats, donkeys and bees.
We think access to good quality, locally and sustainably grown food is going to become more and more important and we love to share what we've learned.
Ours is a free to all project because neither money, knowledge or confidence should be a barrier when it comes to growing what you need, and is there really anywhere better than this stunningly beautiful and abundant place to do it.
That said, we're two folk in their Autumn years and we appreciate all the help we can get.
We've a part built gazeebo framed fruit cage come hen garden that would give our girls more outdoor, fox safe time. The wood shed needs rebuilding, we could always use more raised beds, we'd love to build a dead hedge and giant pallet insect hotel around the goose pond and things just will not stop growing!
We've classes in waterbath and pressure canning all through the Winter which are very popular and we also teach visible mending for clothes.
.
The little barn accommodation was our Super Host Airbnb for the last 5 years and has a big room with a super king sized bed and kitchenette and a good bathroom.
Please shout out if you have any questions.

Aide
The tasks are seasonal and varied. As well as the usual growing jobs like weeding and harvesting, we also teach food preservation including waterbath and pressure canning.
We've still raised beds to put up, produce to can, and the geese, chickens and rescue cats and donkeys love company.
We also love sitting around the stove talking and mending in the Winter. -
