  We are a family of three, Niamh a librarian, Isaac (14) and Eolann (17). We have a comfy home 15km from Galway city. Our home has a large garden that requires regular maintenance. We would like to develop it more to use it as a social space.

  Aide

  I have a large garden that requires maintenance before Winter begins. Work includes cutting back shrubs and hedges, cutting back saplings and over growth. Spreading bark mulch and weed control. Workaways must be accustomed to physical tasks and using battery operated garden tools. Specific projects that I would like to focus on is clearing out old garden furniture and cleaning up a storage shed, preparing an area to build an outdoor fire pit.

  Eolann is learning Italian in school and Isaac is learning German in school and they both would love an opportunity to chat with Italian and German speakers.

  Hébergement

  You will sleep in a ground floor guest suite with a TV, wifi, king size bed, en suite bathroom and a small kitchen. Suitable for one person or two people who don’t mind sharing a bed. I sometimes don’t have time to cook and workaways will need to cook their own meals. There will be plenty of food and essentials for laundry etc.

  We are 15km from Galway city where there is plenty of culture and night life. We can recommend good places to go for hikes and swims. There is a bus stop 1km from our home that is part of the route to Galway city. Buses stop there once per hour. It is possible to arrange drop offs and pickups to the bus with enough notice. We are a busy house with my time occupied by my children and working full time. I work from home some days. I need workaways to work independently and follow instructions. We are an inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming household and we don't tolerate any kind of language or behavior that is offensive regarding race, gender or sexual orientation.

  Small pets ok. We have two cats and a small dog. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when outside.
