I stayed with James for about 3 weeks in May-June of this year. Multiple serious problems. The most important hosting foul he committed, in my opinion, was imposing an obnoxious television show on me. One evening, he was watching a show about things like executions in Saudi Arabia. #redacted text# . He watched this show upstairs, but it could be
… read more heard downstairs as well. When I asked him to turn down the volume, or switch to a less obnoxious program, he refused and got very confrontational with me. There were other issues with this man, but at a certain point it's better to discuss via private message. So more details can be discussed via private message.Feedback

I spent 6 weeks with James during summer 2023. James is a great person who really likes to share his culture and knowledge. I learned a lot, and this trip made me a better person. Thank you very much to James for this trip, the welcome, and the different moments spent here!

I spend two month at James's housse and this experience was just amazing. I learned a lot from him, and not just practical skills, but also a different way to see life. I warmly recommend James as a host and Hope you will enjoy to stay at his house as much as I have.

I had an amazing experience all around, James was prompt and respectful when responding to inquiry. He collected me right from the train station and showed me around his amazing property. The provided room was clean and comfortable. James takes pride in everything he does and lives a relaxed and rich life and I had a great time working with him.

James was the best possible host I could’ve had. I was treated as family from the time he picked me up from the airport to the time he dropped me off. I was able to learn so much from him not just the work either. He taught me many valuable life lessons. I stayed a month and was not ready to leave when the time came. He took care of everything and
… read more just made everything a great time. The work hardly felt like work most of the time because James really liked to enjoy life. He Took me on many adventures and introduced me to some of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life. I was able to use his bike and pretty much anything he had he was a very giving person.I can say James is now like family and I will definitely stay in touch( let me know how you’re trip goes). If you want a great experience in Ireland then James is definitely the man for that. The only bad thing about this work away is that it set my standard for hosts so high I don’t think anybody will be able to top it. I miss all the great times we were able to have together and I am very thankful to be able to have this experience. No doubt that I will be back to visit James in the future wether through workaway or his air bnb. I would just like to say thank you to James one last time you are one of the greatest humans I’ve ever met and I wish you all the best.
