  We are a friendly Dutch family of four living on a beautiful country estate surrounded by forests, fields and nature. We love the outdoors, animals and spending time together as a family, and we're looking for someone who would enjoy sharing this lifestyle with us for a while.
  
  Our family consists of Mum, Dad, our daughter (15) and our son (13). The children are very independent with busy school and sports schedules, so this is not a traditional childcare placement. Instead, we're looking for someone who loves animals—especially horses—and enjoys becoming part of everyday family life.
  
  Life with us
  
  Animals are at the heart of our home.
  
  We have two wonderful ponies, two friendly dogs, chickens and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The main help we're looking for is with the daily care of our ponies and dogs while we're at work.
  
  That means feeding the ponies, grooming them, bringing them in and out of the stable when needed, mucking out the stables, checking they are happy and healthy, and giving them plenty of attention. Our dogs love their daily walks through the surrounding countryside, so you'll also spend time exploring the forests and fields with them.
  
  If you already ride, you'll absolutely love it here. You're welcome to ride our ponies around our own land or head straight into the beautiful forest trails from our property. If horses are your passion, you'll feel right at home.
  
  Besides caring for the animals, we'd appreciate some help with preparing simple evening meals, occasional grocery shopping, light household tasks and keeping the children's bedrooms tidy. If you enjoy gardening, you're welcome to help in our vegetable garden—or even grow your own vegetables.

  Our property also has a swimming pool, lots of outdoor space and direct access to beautiful walking, cycling and riding routes. The nearest towns are easy to reach, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore the Netherlands.
  
  Who we're looking for
  
  We'd love to hear from someone who:
  
  genuinely loves horses and enjoys caring for them every day;
  is confident with dogs;
  enjoys country life and being outdoors in all seasons;
  is responsible, independent and organised;
  has a driving licence (this is important);
  speaks English.
  
  Experience with horses is much more important to us than previous childcare experience.
  
  We're looking for someone who wants to become part of our family rather than simply complete a list of tasks. We enjoy sharing meals together, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and making our guests feel at home. In return, we hope you'll enjoy our animals, our beautiful surroundings and the relaxed rhythm of country life.

  We are an open minded family, fluent in Dutch, English and a bit of Spanish. We offer you a beautiful location in the countryside of Holland close to the city Utrecht. If you like the countryside, nature, quietness yet still within 30 minutes of a major city you come to the right place.

  Aide

  We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys country life and would like to become part of our family for a while. Our ideal Workawayer loves animals, enjoys being outdoors and is happy taking responsibility for the day-to-day care of our little country estate.
  
  The main focus of the role is caring for our two ponies and two friendly dogs during the day while we're at work. This includes feeding the ponies, bringing them in and out of the stable when needed, grooming them, mucking out the stables, and making sure they are happy, healthy and well looked after. Our dogs love long walks through the surrounding countryside, so spending time outdoors with them is an important and enjoyable part of the day.
  
  If you have horse-riding experience, that's a huge advantage. You're very welcome to ride our ponies on our own land or explore the beautiful forest trails directly from our property.
  
  We also have a vegetable garden that we'd love your help maintaining. Depending on the season, this may involve watering, weeding, harvesting fresh vegetables and herbs, and helping us keep everything growing beautifully. If gardening is something you enjoy, you'll have plenty of opportunities to get involved—and you're even welcome to grow some of your own favourite vegetables.
  
  In addition, we'd appreciate help with preparing simple evening meals, occasional grocery shopping and light household tasks. We have a cleaner who comes twice a week, so we're not looking for a housekeeper—just someone who enjoys pitching in and helping family life run smoothly.
  
  Our children are 15 and 13 and are very independent. They cycle to school every day, just like most children in the Netherlands, so this is not a childcare position. Occasionally, particularly during the winter months or when the weather is poor, you may be asked to drive them to or from sports or music activities. A valid driving licence and confidence behind the wheel are therefore essential, but driving is only an occasional part of the role.
  
  Every now and then Mum and Dad spend a weekend away together. On those occasions, we'd ask you to stay at home with the children and take care of the animals. The children are perfectly capable of looking after themselves, so your main responsibility is simply to provide a reassuring adult presence and make sure everyone—including our four-legged family members—is happy and well cared for.
  
  We normally ask for around 4–5 hours of help per day, five days a week, leaving you with plenty of free time to relax by the swimming pool, explore the Netherlands, go cycling or hiking, or enjoy riding our ponies.
  
  We're looking for someone who is responsible, trustworthy, practical and proactive—someone who loves animals, enjoys the outdoors and would like to experience life as part of a warm Dutch family in the countryside.
