Description
We are Nikki and Tom, an English couple that along with our cat live in an old farmhouse about 10km away from the village of Álora. We love living in the countryside, and Tom grows a lot of our vegetables.
We are more than happy to do a WhatsApp video call, and can be very flexible with the help hours per day, meaning a long weekend work free is on the cards, ideal for a trip away exploring. Having your own transport would be a real bonus, but not a requirement. Groups would be considered if camping/campervan.

Country life, peace and tranquillity. We enjoy meeting other people, sharing mealtimes together and playing board games.
We enjoy good company, conversations, playing cards and board games. We are looking for a workawayers, to come and work with us, not for us, for a week or more. Someone who enjoys the peacefulness of the countryside, and not reliant on the internet or mobile phone, perhaps looking to leave the rat race behind for a while. We have a swimming pool and nearly 20 acres to explore.

Our home is about 5km from the train station, although only a short distance, it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk, although a couple of times a week we are more than happy to take you to the train station. It is possible to get to get a train to Malaga, and the coast, also the Caminito del Rey at El Chorro. Adjacent to the house, we have numerous rural walks with nature all around. We are non smokers, and would prefer non smokers.

If you are in Andalusia or near Costa de Sol I recommend staying with Nikki and Tom. I stayed with them for 3 weeks and made lasting memories during the stay. If you work diligently, expect caring and personable hosts. I personally shared many laughs and exchanged cultural ideas with them. Their property is some of the most beautiful land I've… read more

Mikael was a great help to our various tasks. His ability to cope with any tasks we gave him was fantastic. He is very sociable enjoyed playing and learning new board games, a skilful chess player (you have been warned). He has a great outlook on life and we wish him all the best with the rest of his travels.

Nikki and Tom are really experienced hosts and have a great offer which is fair, thoughtful and very friendly. Tom and Nicki were wonderful hosts. Always made sure I was comfortable and well fed. Loved playing board games with them most nights and their place is perfectly situated in the mountains with amazing scenery around. They never asked me to do any work I wasn't comfortable with. Hope to volunteer for them again

Gefen & Yedidya arrived at the Finca and very quickly settled in. Yedidya worked extremely hard in all of the tasks he was asked to do. Worked extremely well, both singularly and part of a team, every job they were tasked with, they undertook, in a neat methodical way. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kristjan and Marsia, and we hope they choose to return to us next year.
