… read more very interesting. I experienced cacao ceremony for the first time. It reminded me many things about myself which I've forgotten in my everyday life. Thank you for having the ceremonies for us.
I enjoyed helping them with cleaning, painting, weeding, cutting branches and sweeping the leaves. It was great that I could work at my own pace.
After the work, we had delicious meals everyday. It was nice to prepare breakfast together and it was also really good.
I had a cozy room and plenty of time for myself. I also enjoyed spending time with other workawayers there.
The dogs, Moka and Noki were really nice, too.
I thought it was beautiful that Aurelia and Kunuk were going for what they believe. I'm really happy that I could visit them.

I had the most amazing time with Lisa, Kunuk and the dogs Nooqi and Moka! Living and working at their place was my first workaway experience and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better one.
They were hospitable and I felt at home quite fast. I appreciated the honest and open communication about living together, the work schedule, the tasks and
… read more expectations and wishes towards me as a guest. And my questions were answered and honoured too. There was a clarity as result, which made the stay very pleasing.
Lisa and Kunuk made a list of tasks of which I could choose what to do. After asking which tasks had priority, I decided to do those in the garden.
The food, mostly organic, was fabulous! It was prepared from fresh ingredients and Lisa put some great efforts in baking “boller”, which I could take the next day for breakfast and lunch.
One of my personal highlights was the cacao ceremony. Honestly I have to say that I was sceptical towards their shamanism. But Lisa and Kunuk both have a caring nature, so I wanted to give it a try. They explained the ins and outs and does and donts and answered patiently all of my questions. Isn’t “Workaway” just there for such new experiences? Well, I still am very pleased with the results! It was one of those moments you get a gift, that you might not really want, but are in need of (and are not aware of!). I am very grateful for this gift.

I had the pleasure of spending almost 3 weeks with Lisa and Kunuck and then with Lisa's parents in Germany.
This was more than I expected from a Workaway. I learnt a lot and had many wonderful experiences from cacao ceremonies, drumming, womb blessings (also i received one) and Shamanism which I had not experienced before - I felt welcomed into

The jobs were straight forward more cleaning, helping with jobs around the home such as cleaning the windows, weeding, cooking and baking which I loved - it was such a pleasure to bake German cookies and Stollen with Lisa, which I had not baked before. Lisa is a great cook and loved her meals- they were so generous when wanting to buy exactly what I wanted to eat as they wanted me to be happy with the food.
I have to say Lisa and Kunuck have very big and generous hearts who want to share their healing gifts with the world. They have a social conscious and are creating a beautiful way of life with their Shamanism and healing modalities. Their dreams and aspirations are magical.
Lisa and Kunuck also have 2 gorgeous dogs that I miss Nooqi and Mocha, they provide a lot of attention and constant love.
I never felt I was given too much work or unachievable jobs/tasks, I was left to work autonomously and worked with Lisa which was great to do the work together. I felt like giving back more time as I was receiving much in return.
My time in Germany with Lisa's parents was so wonderful, I got to learn a few words in German and was made to feel right at home. The food provided is all organic and wholesome. I felt I was eating really nutrient dense food and their was a lot to enjoy. I loved preparing the breakfast/lunch table and preparing all organic vegetarian meals. I had the opportunity to bake banana bread which was a big hit!
I really enjoyed working in the garden as well, it was satisfying work although could be bake breaking I felt i was really being productive.
I built a good rapport with the family and was invited to return to Germany again!
I am very grateful for my time with Lisa, Kunuck, Barbara and Rudi.

I built a website for their small business (starting with choosing domain, hosting and cms, creating several static pages, as well booking for events, contact form, etc), I also designed two flyers for their events - one in English and one in German, and did a few photo edits and collage creations. Lisa and Kunuk were part of the process as much as it was needed - they would promptly provide me with the necessary texts or photos for all digital and graphic projects, and they were always kind and constructive when providing their feedback on my work. They were also very grateful for my help, which made it even more enjoyable for me to work on this.
The nature on the island is really beautiful, I was able to borrow one of their bikes and explore the island in my free time. It was great that they were flexible in terms of my working hours/days too, so I could use the days with good weather for trips. They were kind to also recommend nature places to visit and thanks to them I was able to explore one of the most beautiful places on the island. 🌅
The food was amazing, Lisa is such a good cook, she prepared the most creative and delicious dinners. I like that they were conscious on the products they buy and most things were organic and good quality. In terms of accommodation I was very happy, I had a really nice and cozy room for myself with a great view towards the garden. They have two lovely dogs, which were so fun to play with and be around.
