Description
We are Leena and Stefano, a Finnish-Italian couple living on a farm on the Tosco-Emiliano Apennines, 35km from Bologna. Home languages are Finnish, English and Italian. We have three horses - Ariel, Daisy and Faltorino, a donkey called Alfredo and Pippo, Teppo and Molly, our three dogs. Maire, Leena's 90-year-old mother stays with us most of the year. Our farm has 20 hectares of land and the animals are free to roam around. However, we need help with little everyday tasks on the farm, light garden work, keeping company to Maire when we are travelling for work and occasional house-sitting duties. We have also just started a vineyard, which also needs some work. Our house is big and you would have a private room and two baths to share.
The house is four and eight km from two railway stations with trains every hour to Bologna (40-50') and Florence (60'). It is also two hours from Venice and Milano.

Leena and Stefano travel the world for their work in the documentary film business and wine business. At the same time, their home in the small village of Grizzana Morandi is a peaceful paradise. This combination offers you a strong cultural exchange on various themes, and the practice of different languages, and helps you to create a relation to animals and nature. You get the taste of the traditional Italian country life hosted by two globetrotters.
Aide
We need help with little everyday tasks on the farm, bringing hay to horses, filling and cleaning the water bucket, collecting horse manure, playing with the dogs, light garden work, cleaning the house, bringing out trash and taking care of Maire when we are travelling for work and occasional house sitting duties.

We live in a big, traditional farmhouse. You will have your own room and share our other living spaces, including kitchen, two bathrooms, dining room, living room and two terraces. The house has a strong internet connection that also works outside.

There are good train connections to Bologna, Firenze and the other major cities, and we are happy to give you a ride to the station whenever needed. Historical sites, language courses, cooking courses, wine tours and all the great bars and restaurants are at your reach. We are not far from the famous Emilia-Romagna motor valley either.
