  Description

  My name is Mahmoud, or Mah, as they used to call me in Colombia.
  
  I am basically a mechanical engineer living in Cairo, Egypt. A writer and translator sometimes.
  
  At the moment I am running a small apartahotel, and offer a few hospitality services for travelers in Egypt; a kind of a prototype for a bigger idea.
  
  Nature and animals are part of me. Family is a blessing and a priority.
  
  Traveling and watching documentaries is my number 1 knowledge gateway and enjoyment.
  
  Stars, planets, galaxies, black holes..actually space and the universe, is what tells me who I am and why.
  
  Work is a source for money to help me have a good life and help other living beings, not a time and energy consuming machine.
  
  I play tennis, and watch football. I also like volleyball.
  
  I enjoy long walks and deep conversations.
  
  I speak Arabic, English, and Spanish. I have been to Russia twice, UAE twice, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Colombia.
  
  We live close to the Great Pyramids of Giza, and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
  
  I live with my family. We are 3 people at home. I have got one sister. She is married and has a beautiful kid. They don’t live with us but they come often.
  
  Ah..and I have 5 cats 🐈.

  As a traveler myself, I will try to make your stay enjoyable. I will show you around, and manage to allow you into cultural immersion. You will get to know about our habbits, customs, and culture, through living with us and having a real experience.
  We offer accommodation, and very friendly atmosphere. We will also be happy if you’d like to share your culture with us in the way you like.
  
  And surely you’ll have plenty of time for other stuff to do based on your preferences and interests; like exploring the city, traveling, learning new stuff, etc..and I will be happy to accompany you sometimes as well if you like.

  Aide

  Mainly there are three directions. Feel free to participate in one or more (none of them is very demanding so it might be interesting if you would like to be part of the three)
  
  1) I know English and Spanish, and I need someone (a native speaker preferably) to help me keep either of these languages alive through natural daily practice (depending which of them is your native language). No teaching is required or certain topics to address. Just normal natural practice.
  
  2) I need someone to help me sort and categorise some stuff that are kept in the apartahotel. It’s not a big job and can split over a few days.
  
  3) My niece enjoys so much communicating and playing with people from other cultures. She comes home often with her mum. So it would be nice if you can spend sometime with her when she is coming.
  This is not a daily task.
  
  You will enjoy your time :) That’s what I can guarantee.

  I offer Arabic/English in exchange for Spanish/English. I love learning languages. I know Spanish and I need to refine it and practice with a native speaker. I can help you with English, while at the same time it would be great to practice English with a native. Practicing is always necessary to keep the language alive. a gate to other worlds. A gate for new opportunities on all aspects. The most valuable one is connecting different people together, and dissolving differences.

  Hébergement

  A room at my family’s place. We live in an apartment of three rooms. You will have a private room for yourself. The room is equipped with everything to make you feel comfortable.
