  Description

  Hello, my name is Florian and I run a small rural hostel surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Tejeda on Gran Canaria.
  
  I enjoy welcoming people from different countries and creating a friendly, respectful atmosphere. I am a direct and honest person, and reliability, cleanliness and open communication are very important to me. At the same time, I appreciate humour, new ideas and people who can help independently.
  
  The finca welcomes hikers, travellers and groups. We are also developing ideas connected with retreats, community life and social projects. I am looking for responsible and motivated people who would like to become part of daily life here for a while, contribute their skills and discover the authentic side of Gran Canaria.
  
  My goal is that everyone feels welcome, treated fairly and comfortable during their stay.

  At our finca and hostel in the mountains of Gran Canaria, you will meet travellers and volunteers from many different countries. We enjoy exchanging languages, traditions, stories and practical skills while living and working together.
  You can discover the authentic Canarian way of life, learn more about the island, its nature and local traditions, and practise Spanish, English or German through daily conversations. We are also happy to learn about your culture, experiences and ideas.
  Depending on your interests, we can share knowledge about hospitality, gardening, vegetarian cooking, maintenance and life in a rural mountain environment. Respect, openness and a friendly community spirit are very important to us.

  Aide

  We are looking for friendly, reliable and independent people to help us at our finca and small hostel in Tejeda. Possible tasks include preparing guest rooms, cleaning shared areas, helping with breakfast and dinner, gardening, carrying out minor maintenance and occasionally assisting our guests.
  
  The tasks will be agreed upon together, according to your skills and interests. Cleanliness, reliability and respectful interaction with our guests and team are very important to us. Basic English or Spanish skills would be an advantage.
  
  We expect approximately five hours of help per day, five days a week. We provide free accommodation and meals. Every hour worked will be paid at a gross rate of €12.00 per hour, or the higher applicable legal or collective-agreement minimum, in addition to the free accommodation and meals. Applicants must have the legal right to work in Spain and appropriate insurance.

  Hébergement

  Workawayers will stay in a clean and comfortable room in our hostel on the finca. Depending on availability and the number of volunteers, the room may be private or shared with another Workawayer. Bed linen and towels are provided. You will have access to shared bathrooms, Wi-Fi and the communal areas of the property. The finca is located in a peaceful mountain setting near Tejeda, surrounded by nature and beautiful hiking trails.

  During your free time, you can explore the beautiful mountain village of Tejeda, go hiking and discover places such as Roque Nublo and other parts of Gran Canaria. Public transport is available, although having a car makes exploring the island easier.
  We live and work in a peaceful rural environment. We appreciate respectful, reliable and independent people who keep shared areas clean and treat our guests, animals and property with care.

  Digital nomads are welcome. We offer Wi-Fi and several quiet indoor and outdoor areas where you can work. The helping hours can be arranged in advance, so you have enough time for your own online work and to explore the island.

  We have space on the property for campervans. Workawayers can use the shared bathrooms, Wi-Fi, communal areas and outdoor spaces. As the finca is located in the mountains, very large vehicles should check with us before arriving.
