Hello!
My children helped me create this profile to make my dream of creating a place to stay in Algarrobo, near the beaches and the most beautiful places in the Valparaíso region, including Neruda's House, a reality.
My name is Guido, and we are a family of five children. The oldest lives outside of Chile, and the others work full-time in Chile.
I am over 60 years old, but I am a very active man, and my children suggested Workaway to help me fulfill my dream of living in this place in the future. I want to enjoy the process, and they want to help me find the people who can provide me with the support and positive energy I will need during this process.

Mis hijos me ayudaron a crear este perfil para hacer realidad mi sueño de crear un lugar para dar alojamientos en Algarrobo, cerca de las playas y los lugares más hermosos de la región de Valparaíso, incluyendo la Casa de Neruda.
Me llamo Guido y somos una familia de cinco hijos. El mayor vive fuera de Chile y los demás trabajan a tiempo completo en Chile.
Tengo más de 60 años, pero soy un hombre muy activo, y mis hijos me sugirieron Workaway para ayudarme a cumplir mi sueño de vivir de este lugar en el futuro. Quiero disfrutar del proceso y ellos quieren ayudarme a encontrar a las personas que puedan brindarme el apoyo y la energía positiva que necesitaré durante este proceso.

By staying with us, you'll have the opportunity to share everyday life with a Chilean family, where you'll learn about Chilean culture, practice Spanish, and join us in developing a beautiful family project near one of the most beautiful beaches in the fifth region and very close to iconic museums like the Pablo Neruda Museum and unique buildings like the largest swimming pool in Chile. Excellent for those who travel and enjoy learning about a culture and language while actively experiencing it with a welcoming Chilean family full of stories to share.
Al alojarte con nosotros, tendrás la oportunidad de compartir la vida cotidiana con una familia chilena, donde aprenderás sobre la cultura chilena, practicarás español y te sumarás a nuestro proyecto familiar cerca de una de las playas más hermosas de la Quinta Región, muy cerca de museos emblemáticos como el Museo Pablo Neruda y edificios únicos como la piscina más grande de Chile. Ideal para quienes viajan y disfrutan aprendiendo sobre una cultura y un idioma, mientras los experimentan activamente con una acogedora familia chilena llena de historias para compartir.

Aide
We're looking for motivated, proactive people with positive energy and positive stories who want to help us with maintenance tasks such as exterior and interior painting, cleaning, damage repair, and gardening, as well as contribute ideas and opportunities for improvement. Ideally, we're looking for people who speak Spanish (at least a basic level) so they can communicate with me, as I don't speak English but am eager to learn. Additionally, they must be available to stay for at least a month (please do not write if you don't meet this requirement). In return, we offer basic accommodation and food! I love working together and talking about life, and my children and I want to attract people who can help me feel more supported in the process of making my dream a reality.
Buscamos personas motivadas, proactivas, con energía positiva e historias positivas que quieran ayudarnos con tareas de mantenimiento, como pintura exterior e interior, limpieza, reparación de daños y jardinería, además de aportar ideas y oportunidades de mejora. Idealmente, buscamos personas que hablen español (al menos un nivel básico) para que puedan comunicarse conmigo, ya que no hablo inglés, pero tengo muchas ganas de aprender. Además, deben estar disponibles para quedarse al menos un mes (por favor, no escriban si no cumplen con este requisito). A cambio, ¡ofrecemos alojamiento y comida básica! Me encanta trabajar juntos y hablar de la vida, y mis hijos y yo queremos atraer a personas que puedan ayudarme a sentirme más apoyada en el proceso de hacer realidad mi sueño.

We offer a fully independent kitnet-style room with a bathroom, kitchen, TV, and Wi-Fi access. And the idea is to provide lunch during workdays from Monday to Friday.
Meal Deal: We will try to share at least one meal a day as a family on work days and will provide food for the other two meals of the day in case the work day extends more than 4 hours.
Ofrecemos un cuarto tipo kitnet totalmente independiente, con baño, cocina, tv y acceso a wifi. Y la idea es proveer de almuerzo los dias de trabajo de lunes a viernes.

The house is a 10-minute walk from the supermarket, the bus station, and the nearest beach. It's also a 3-minute walk from the public transportation stop to Isla Negra, where Neruda's house is located.
Our lodging plan focuses on rest, silence, and NO drug use, and these are part of the house rules.
And we have a pet dog named Pita.
La casa se encuentra a 10 min caminando del supermercado, de la estación de buses, y de la playa mas cercana. Ademas de estar a 3 minutos de la parada de transporte publico que va a Isla negra, donde se encuentra la casa de Neruda.
La idea de hospedaje que ofrecemos es enfocada al descanso, el silencio y al NO consumo de drogas y forman parte de las reglas de la casa.
Tenemos una perrita de mascota llamada Pita.
