Hello, my name is Orlando and I live in Santiago de Compostela (City), a small city in the northwest of Spain, full of history, with a famous cathedral and visited by thousands of tourists who complete their pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago. The city is 25 minutes from the nearest beaches.
I work in public administration. I have an 8-year-old child who is very curious, cooperative and responsible.
I like to discover the world and share new experiences with respectful and responsible people.
I like to live in contact with nature, I lead a healthy life (I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't take drugs, etc.), I like to eat everything but I tend to eat vegetarian food: I love vegetables, fruits and greens. In addition, I am quite an environmentalist. I do physical activity regularly (mountain biking, swimming, running, and any other sport).
On the weekend I do different activities, depending on the weather: I tour the city by bike, hiking, walks, beach, family and social visits, etc.
Hola, mi nombre es Orlando y vivo en Santiago de Compostela (Ciudad) una pequeña ciudad del noroeste de España, llena de historia, con una famosa catedral y visitada por miles de turistas que culminan su peregrinación del Camino de Santiago. La ciudad se encuentra a 25 minutos de las playas más cercanas.
Trabajo en la administración pública. Tengo un niño de 8 años que es muy curioso, colaborador y responsable.
Me gusta descubrir el mundo y compartir nuevas experiencias con personas respetuosas y responsables.
Me gusta vivir en contacto con la naturaleza, llevo una vida saludable (no fumo, no bebo, no tomo drogas, etc), me gusta comer de todo pero tengo tendencia a la comida vegetariana: me encantan las verduras, frutas y hortalizas. Además, soy bastante ecologista. Realizo actividad física regularmente (bicicleta de montaña, natación, correr, y cualquier otro deporte).
El fin de semana realizo diferentes actividades, en función del clima: recorro la ciudad en bici, ruta de senderismo, paseos, playa, visitas familiares y sociales, etc).

The au pair would have free housing and food. As a general rule, the child is with his/her mother every 2 weeks. That is, the child is at my house every 15 days. Therefore, the au pair would have a lot of free time some weeks and also some weekends.
I have a teaching background, and I would be delighted to teach the au pair the Spanish language, the culture of Spain and the environment, places in Galicia, etc. In addition, I would support him/her in everything he/she needs. I am honest, responsible and committed to the project and the people.
La aupair dispondría de vivienda y manutención gratuita. Como norma general, cada 2 semanas el niño está con su madre. Es decir, el niño está en mi casa, cada 15 días. Por eso, la aupair tendría mucho tiempo libre algunas semanas y también algunos fines de semana..
Tengo formación en enseñanza, y estaría encantado de enseñarle a la aupair el idioma español, la cultura de España y del entorno, lugares de Galicia, etc. Además, yo le apoyaría en todo lo que necesite. Soy una honesta, responsable y comprometida con el proyecto y las personas.

I am looking for an au pair who can stay for several months (3-6 months) to speak English with the child and help me a little with the housework. Her main job would be to take the child to and from school sometimes; spend an afternoon with him, accompany him to an extracurricular activity, etc.
The child's school is 10 minutes by car, bus or bike from my house.
Regarding housework, the au pair must take care of his spaces and if he wants, he can contribute to the housework (cleaning, putting the dishwasher on, etc.).
On weekends, the au pair would be free. He can accompany us in leisure activities or make his own plans.
I like personal growth and spirituality. I practice meditation from time to time and attend personal development retreats.
Estoy buscando a una “aupair” que pueda quedarse varios meses (3-6 meses) para que hable en inglés con el niño y me ayude, un poco, con las tareas de casa. Su principal trabajo sería; llevar y recoger al niños al colegio algunas veces; pasar alguna tarde con él, acompañarlo a alguna actividad extraescolar, etc.
El colegio del niño está a 10 min de coche, autobús o bicicleta de mi casa.
En relación con las tareas de casa, la aupair debe hacerse cargo de sus espacios y si lo desea, puede contribuir en las tareas de casa (limpieza, poner el lavavajillas, etc).
Los fines de semana, la aupair estaría libre. Puede acompañarnos en las actividades de ocio o hacer sus propios planes.
Me gusta el crecimiento personal y la espiritualidad. Practico meditación de vez en cuando y asisto a retiros de ampliación personal.

La ciudad de Santiago de Compostela, dispone de una amplia actividad cultural. Puedes visitar el casco histórico, la catedral, los diferentes museos (Museo contemporáneo, Museo del pueblo gallego, etc) y las múltiples exposiciones de arte. Además, tiene una gran tradición gastronómica.
La ciudad dispone de un campus universitario con 25.000 estudiantes.
El aeropuerto está a 20 minutos en autobús público y 10 minutos en coche particular. La estación de tren se encuentra a 12 minutos en autobús y 10 minutos en coche.
A 10 minutos caminando hay 2 centros comerciales (Centro comercial As Cancelas), (Centro Comercial Área Central).
El centro de la ciudad está a 10 min en autobús y 30 minutos caminando.
