Hi, I'm Lenny. I traveled a lot when I was younger, but now I can’t travel as much so I’ve been hosting Workaway since 2016 after 3 years hosting on another platform bc I enjoy sharing my home with travelers and need help with various projects.

Not only will you learn how a tiny, full-featured RV (caravan) is put together, but you'll get to do it in Alameda, an island just 10 miles (16km) from iconic San Francisco! 🏝️🌁

Initially, my Workaway projects were mostly about renovating a tiny RV (caravan) I’d bought, but that’s mostly complete so nowadays it’s a variety of tasks including household repairs, vehicle maintenance (motorcycles, car and that RV), etc. Tell me what you like to do and there’s a good chance I need help with it. 😊
I have a job that keeps me very busy, so guests must operate independently. Often the tasks are things that I don't know how to do either, so independent learning (Google/YouTube) and ingenuity are required. Please let me know your skills. Otherwise I might ignore your message bc I get many cut&paste "form letters" from people who want to come to California but haven't read my profile.

If you have a valid driving license and clean driving record, I can lend you a car/motorcycle/RV to explore California when you’re on breaks, but I can only do that if you have a license and clean driving record (because I need to put you on the insurance policy.)
I'm flexible on what 20 hours you help, so there's plenty of time to enjoy California.

The apartment is in a quite and safe place area in Alameda (45' from SF). You can walk to the water easily.
Not so much things to do on the neighbourhood and you always have the pinball museum to play for free 😊 or go to SF, Berkley or Oakland.
