  Description

  Sam and I have signed on to be part of a garden festival at the end of October. The festival is 7 weeks away and almost everything needs prepping and sewing (seeds and seedlings). A couple of the buildings need a paint on the outside; this will include water-blasting first.

  We are planting a market garden, so you will learn how we like to do this using composting weed mat and tools that make planting seeds a breeze. This property is rural and has a wonderful view of the mountain. The beach is a 4-minute drive down the road. Its a place to connect with the outdoors while surrounded by bird life and fresh air.

  We have a market-sized garden that needs to be prepped and planted. Lots of weeding and mowing. There is a studio and sleep-out that need to be water blasted and painted. mulch to be spread under trees. Lots of odd-jobs in preparation for a garden festival.

  Hébergement

  There is a studio with a small fridge and sink with cold water. Hot-plate to cook on and a jug for hot water. It has power and internet. There is a toilet block that includes shower, washing machine and dryer.
  The studio has a couch to sleep one and a mattress that can sleep a second. Preferably you will have a van or camper you sleep in and use the studio has you hang out space to wind down and cook dinner.

  We are a 3-minute drive from the Okato township where there is a Foursquare that sells everything including fresh fruit and veges, meat and dairy. The township also includes a cafe, a takeaway shop, skatepark, coffee carts and a massage therapist. The larger township of Oakura is a 9-minute drive away and also includes pharmacy, pub, Pilates reformer studio and homewares shop.

  There is space to park your vehicle, can accept vans and campers. We have a cat and starlink internet.

  Rata (4 ans)

  Rata is mostly friendly but will lash out, usually not without warning. He has a lot of personality and loves to hang out with the humans, he'll often join you in the garden.
