Description
Hello! We are Jorge and Coni, a Mapuche family living near the Villarrica Volcano.
We are two young rural people dedicated to working on our farm in southern Chile, with stunning views of the volcano and Huincacara Hill. We manage 3 hectares of land with bees, sheep, chickens, a fruit orchard, and any project that come us to mind.
We love our area, it’s perfect for hiking, exploring rivers, caves, and lakes, and we live in a very touristic commune. If you enjoy nature, honey, animals, and outdoor life, this is the place for you.
Here you will meet Violeta, Jorge’s mother and president of the indigenous community, as well as other members of our family, the indigenous community, and the Mapuche culture. We are also part of an environmental organization and we often organize excursions and activities to care for our environment.
We don’t have Wi-Fi here, but there is a good 3G–4G signal.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We love exchanging knowledge about lifestyle and traditions. We can offer long conversations around a Mapuche fire pit, talking about local history while enjoying something delicious to eat.
We love learning new things and exchanging knowledge. Jorge is a farmer and beekeeper, and Coni is a law graduate who teaches civic education in schools. We are both active members of an organization where we monitor wildlife and pollution in the river that runs through the community. We have so much to talk about!
We love doing outdoor activities while always observing our surroundings — we gather wild berries, observe local flora and fauna, and learn from them.
We are a family of community leaders: Coni is the president of the environmental organization, and Violeta is the president of the indigenous community. If you take part in activities with us, we can provide you with a participation certificate.

On our farm, tasks will depend on the season and the weather, as we live in harmony with nature's cycles.
Here's what we do throughout the year and where we need help:
- Summer: Harvesting raspberries and strawberries. Maintaining the orchard and irrigation system, cleaning trays.
Beekeeping work, honey harvesting (requires physical strength and not being allergic to bees).
- Autumn: Gathering firewood, clearing weeds, maintaining and improving the guest cabin, maintaining and improving the farm in general.Pruning, transplanting, and relocating beehives. Generally, preparing the farm for winter by putting everything away.
- Winter: Depending on the weather, indoor work, cabin improvements, making beekeeping equipment in the carpentry workshop, cleaning work areas. Final pruning of fruit trees, monitoring newborn lambs, caring for the animals, and general farm maintenance.
- Spring: Inspection and relocation of beehives, maintenance of the irrigation system, tidying, preparing, and organizing the spaces for the arrival of summer (honey harvesting room, trays, work equipment, etc.).
