  Namsate and welcome to our school !!
  
  We are a community based public school located in nuwakot district , nested in the Shivapuri hills . For decades, our school has been the heart of this rural community, providing education to local children from childhood up to Grade 12 .
  
  As a rural public school our students do not often get the chance to interact with the world outside our valley. We joined Workaway because we want to bring the world to our classrooms. Our main goal is to give our students global explore, build their confidence in speaking English and introduce them to new ways of learning.
  
  When you come to volunteer with us, you are not just visiting a school,you are being welcomed into a deeply knit community. You will be embraced by our dedicated team of 15 local teachers, enthusiastic students who are eager to learn, and welcoming villagers who are always excited to share a warm cup of Nepali tea and a plate of fresh Dal Bhat with you.
  
  We are located in a true paradise for nature lovers. We are situated right in the lap of nature , away from the dust and noise of the city. On clear days you can see majestic Himalayan mountain range from our schoolyard.
  
  It takes 1 hour drive to reach us from Kathmandu ring road (Samakhushi) which is 22 km.
  If you are passionate about education , want to experience Nepal's rural life style this is the perfect place for you.

  Our village is not a tourist area , so you can see and experience lifestyle of Rural Nepal , there is waterfall , river pound and monastery near by school , you can hike to those place . Also if you want to learn Nepali language , teachers from the school will be more then happy to teach you . In your free time if you are interested you can visit our farm , we expect to learn English language and some of your story from your home town . We will introduce our village culture .

  Aide

  We are looking for English teacher , specially English speaking for primary and lower-secondary students at the village public school. You have to volunteer 3 classes per day ( 45 minutes each class ) which is total 135 minutes pre day , After your visit we can plan things together.

  Hébergement

  Near by school (5 minutes walk from the school) there is a home of school management team president , he is offering free stay and free food for the volunteer , This family will offer 2 times meal (lunch and dinner) school will offer 1 time meal and tea . Food time will be according to village life style , normally breakfast will be at 9 Am , lunch will be at 1 Pm and dinner will be at 7 PM . There is hot water for shower and clean toilet , have wifi service for internet .

  Free time & getting around
  20 minutes walk to beautiful waterfall
  1 hour downhill hike to big natural pond , perfect for day swim.
  5 minutes walk to black toped road with regular local buses and shared jeeps.
  From Blacked top road you can visit shivapuri National park ( Famous for day hike , wild orchid, butterfly , wild honey and Mountain View and if you are lucky wild animals )
  
  No smoking inside the House and school .
  Alcohol only in moderation and never before teaching .
  We are very relaxed and welcoming mountain people , everything else is just about love and common sense.
