Description
༄ Welcoming in the abundant arms of nature and culture slow travellers better if at least in their thirtees and families w kids up to 7 yo ༄
WHO ARE WE
We are Sergio, Francesca and our 8 years daughter, feeling part of an enlarged soul family commited on art, nature connection, self growth, collective liberation.
The place of this developing intentional still very transient community is a wild four hectares olive grove and woodland 5 km from a tiny town in "Tuscia" territory in northern Lazio. A magic place with neolithic sacred spots, wild animals, a lot of biodiversity and a river at some minutes of sloping hike.
Until now we have build our house with our hands, with soil and other natural materials plus some recycle. It's made accordingly to principles of permaculture and is off-the-grid (solar electricity, wood stove, compost toilets, rainwater collecting system, phytodepuration, etc).
We have also created veggie gardens of all sorts and now we are busy adding more beauty and facilities around, to become more and more able to host events and friends.
We are open minded, always learning and taking ecologic care in every aspect of our life, but being aware doesn't involve for has becoming rigid in any ideology, neither willing to change others or being upset if the world doesn't fulfill our expectations. On the other hand we strongly believe that the first thing to do is work in the inner world, to create a beautiful space that can manifest in the outer world. We care a lot about personal responsability.
Sergio makes extravergine olive oil, veggies, fermented food, greenwood carving, is a Wimoff practitioner, italian language for foreigners certified teacher, book editor, loves table tennis, literature, cinema, discovering ancient caves in the woods...
Francesca enjoys basketry and natural crafts, conscious dance, stearing at the nature, read, experiment, connect.
Our kid is a wonderful soul, free, very generous, playful, respectful, enthusiast; she loves to cook, do art and craft, help, role play and she is studying guitar, macramé, crochet, pottery, yoga... She is really happy having around people emotionally and playfully available for the childrens' world.
COMMUNITY
The community we would like to create here, step by step, is made by people cultivating some skill and art, comfortable with outdoor lifestyle, independent, energetic, on a conscious path of personal growth, open minded and interested in reciprocal constructive feedbacks, playful, generous, with sense of humor and able to express fully emotions and needs and to communicate fluently in English and/or Italian.
We host travellers of course, but our goal is to have more and more friends that decide to stay for longer periods, even settling in the neightbours, to build toghether something bigger and deeper than the one can do by her/himself.
While here we kindly ask to avoid eating meat and we are having eggs once a week from an happy source.
We can't host regular smokers.
Please let us know beforehand if you have any specific medical conditions.
COOPERATION
As in the standard workaway deal we welcome working volounteers with accomodation and organic plant based food in exchange of around 5 h of work per day, with 2 days off per week, but we are open to discuss different proposals, in case you want to be more independent and stay longer or so.

This territory, called "Tuscia", has attracted us for its unpredictable landscape, contested between woods, rivers, lakes and small villages and sites rich of history. And although, as everywhere, modernity also risks here to pass as a standardizing roller, for those who know how to look carefully the traces of the past are still visible, thing that gives depth to our gaze and a less abstract perception of the present.
Please take the time necessary to discover this straordinary territory full of ancient history and wild nature!
We are sorrounded by woods ("Riserva Naturale Selva del Lamone") with waterfalls and pathways to Neolithic and Etruscan archeological sites (Rofalco, Castro, Vulci);
There are free thermal springs at 20 min by car and at 40 min you can reach the famous thermal pools of Saturnia and San Filippo;
There are also beatiful waterfalls (Cascata del Salabrone etc.), rivers (Fiora) and lakes (Lago di Bolsena, Lago di Mezzano).
If you are interested in little medieval towns in 20-30 minutes you can see Pitigliano, Bolsena and Sorano.
The sea! Only 30 minutes from wonderful beaches of Monte Argentario
If you look for mountains we have Monte Amiata, 50 min far.
In this area there are also interesting local tiny museums (search for "Simulabo musei").
Our town in itself it's a very small town, but nice and usually welcoming.
Means of trasport:
• By feet: you can hike in the woods, go to the river next to our land, observe yourself in peace and silence... or go to town in 40 min.
• By bycicle: you can use ours.
• By bus: from town you can take a bus and go exploring surrounding areas.
• By car: everywhere.Informations complémentaires
