  Description

  I know the Rio Dulce area since 2016 and am permanently in Guatemala since 5 years. Now it feels for me like home, lots of the locals know me and I love to be surrounded only by water and mangroves. No resorts or supermarkets, no night or city life, only some thatched roofs in the greens and peace all around. Next shopping possibility at Livingston or Rio Dulce.
  
  After leaving Europe I spent 5 years together with my girl friend alone on a deserted island in Belize, run a marina and houses to host guests successfully and now I am working on different boat and touristic related projects and am living on my sailboat ENDLESS SUMMER on anchor in a remote bay. I am thinking of offering my second sailboat SOULSISTER as accommodation to travelers on a budget, who want to enjoy a few days out here relaxing a little from travelling. But there is still a way to go. If you are enthused of this idea, come and help me! Also I am looking for some help on a future touristic YogaDetoxNatureExploring Sailboat Tour project. If you only would like to stay for some days, there is always some improvement or maintenance on my main boat to do. And besides of working, I always appreciate a good inspiring conversation:-) Anyway, I will be happy to have some company.

  Living on a boat with limited space and recourses is a learning process by itself and it needs no telling and teaching about off grid life, sailing and how to live a creative and fulfilled life, we just can do it together.
  At the moment I am on anchor and not sailing around as my motor is for refurbishing off the boat! The anchor place offers free :-) swimming in warm water whenever you want at a very save and remote location with few friendly locals around.
  
  I like the challenge to invent, prototype and test any kind of systems. Therefore I enjoyed living alone for 5 years on a deserted island. Every day was a new challenge to merge the existing materials building something useful or repair the previous day's work:-) I'll be happy to share and discuss those ideas. Also the impact on society or the modern thinking of our throwaway society. May be you also can teach me something...

  Aide

  ENDLESS SUMMER is a mature lady, built in the 70's. I bought her to get her step by step nice and in good shape again. There are tons of ideas and projects which can be done if there is time. And there is always something for cleaning, sanding and painting or general maintenance and also always something to repair...
  
  For longer term, I am looking for somebody who likes to help and support me with getting SOULSISTER in a reasonable shape to accommodate people. Structurally she is in good condition, it mostly needs light works like tidying, cleaning, sanding and painting. But it needs some hours of intense (wo)man power to get there.

  30 years ago I spoke French fluently. I still understand everything but some vocabulary lost my mind or mix up with Spanish. Would like to have some practice again. And of course always happy to improve my Spanish:-)

  Hébergement

  My anchor place is 1h boat ride from the next big towns Livingston or at the other direction Rio Dulce. SOULSISTER as accommodation needs still a little TLC, so you are welcome to have a cabin on ENDLESS SUMMER. On a boat, everything is special and unique and needs some respectful approach and special care. Electrical and water system work differently than domestic ones but are with a little training easy to handle.
