  Description

  Hi there! We are a young(-ish) Portuguese-German family who loves nature and the outdoors. We are looking for house sitters to look after our summer house during the winter months, when we cannot go there that often.
  
  Our spacious summer house is located close to the picturesque seaside town of Sesimbra, just about half an hour (car drive) south of Lisbon, Portugal. Our neighborhood is calm, safe, and within walking distance of several big supermarkets. There is a bus stop right outside with public transport connections to the beach and Lisbon, and you are free to use the bicycles in our garage!
  
  The house consists of two independent flats with separate entrances. While we usually stay in one flat on weekends and school breaks, you will have complete privacy in your own separate 3-bedroom flat, complete with a living room and kitchen. Fast WiFi (fibre optic) is included and a washing machine is available.
  
  We don't have any pets of our own, but if you want to bring your own dog or cat, you are very welcome!
  
  We are a very sociable family and happy to connect, but we are also completely respectful if you prefer quiet time. If this sounds like a good fit for your winter getaway, we’d love to hear from you!

  The seaside municipality of Sesimbra is quite lively and has a good cultural program. Our neighborhood is predominately Portuguese, and allows to connect with locals. The centre of Sesimbra, particularly the waterfront, is quite international with a lot to offer for expats too.

  Aide

  What We Are Looking For:
  In exchange for accommodation (no meals provided), we would love your help with light property upkeep (maximum 2 hours per day, with exact details to be agreed upon):
  
  - Garden: Light tasks such as mowing the lawn, watering plants when necessary, harvesting some fruit, and looking after our small vegetable garden.
  
  - House Maintenance: Basic tasks like cleaning in and around the house, notifying us of any issues (e.g., a leaking tap), emptying dehumidifiers, and airing out the house by opening and closing windows.

  Hébergement

  Three bed-room flat that we usually use to host family and friends during summer months. Basic kitchen with gas hob, fridge and sink. Bathroom with shower over bathtub. Fast WiFi included. The flat does not have air conditioning or central heating, which is not unusual for this region of Portugal where winters are generally mild. However, the house has decent insulation and electric radiators can be provided.
