 - Description- I’m a Greek living in a small village in the western Peloponnese. I’m full of energy and curiosity, always eager to learn new things, explore, and connect with people from around the world. My passions include history, animals, science, and nature — and I love sharing what I know and learning from others in return!
I live in a cozy cottage near Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, in the region of Ilia. The house has a small front garden filled with flowers and herbs, and a backyard with fruit trees. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty — rivers, forests, and waterfalls — perfect for anyone who loves peaceful countryside and outdoor adventures.
I’ve been living here for the past three years, enjoying a simple and quiet life away from the crowds and noise of the city. Company is always welcome — whether to help me with projects like the olive harvest, to share good food and conversations, or to explore the beautiful surroundings together.
I’m also very interested in language exchange, so if you’d like to practice some Greek in exchange for Italian, French, or Arabic, that would be wonderful too.

 - Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre- Travellers can learn a lot about Greek history and culture by visiting the nearby archaeological sites — especially Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
You can also learn or practise Greek, interact with locals in the village, and experience authentic rural life.
Nature lovers will enjoy exploring the area’s natural parks, forests, rivers, and waterfalls, discovering a peaceful side of Greece that few visitors get to see.
I’m always happy to show guests around, share stories about the region, or join short trips to nearby places. It’s a great opportunity for cultural and language exchange, and to experience Greece from a local’s perspective.
 - Aide- I’m looking for one or two people to help me with the olive harvest. The exact period can vary depending on the weather, but it’s usually between November and December.
The work includes collecting olives by hand or with small tools, helping to gather them in nets, and enjoying the process outdoors surrounded by nature.
We’ll share good food, local traditions, and plenty of stories along the way!

 - Hébergement- I offer a private room inside the cottage (with sheets and blankets provided) and access to Wi-Fi.
As for food, I’m happy to provide it — although I must admit, I’m not exactly a master chef! 😄 Still, I enjoy sharing simple homemade meals and discovering new recipes from my guests.
 - Autres infos...- To reach my place, you can travel to Pyrgos, which is the closest city to my village. There are regular buses from Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras to Pyrgos. From there, you can take a local bus to Vasilaki, or if I’m available, I’ll be happy to pick you up by car.
During your free time, you can easily explore the area — there’s a bus from the village to Ancient Olympia and back to Pyrgos. The region is surrounded by forests, rivers, and peaceful countryside, perfect for walks, small excursions, or even a bike ride. You can explore on your own or we can go together on short trips to discover hidden spots nearby.
