Alana, thank you so much for coming to stay with us. You are one hardworking woman! Thank you for getting out in the field and getting those crazy weeds, picking up those branches left by the tractor and helping to smooth out the area, I know it was hard with the heat and sun, and never did you complain. Hosts, please consider Alana, she is a solid worker and guest who is committed to holding up her end of the bargain, trustworthy and knowledgeable. She taught me how to catch gnats in a homemade trap! Thanks again Alana, be safe and good luck in your travels!

My stay with Nicole was an amazing experience! She is so kind and funny! I stayed for around 15 days (or more?) and would've stayed longer if able! I have a new friend and the knowledge she taught me I will use for a lifetime. I love her dog, Chulo! and the farm is very safe and beautiful. A small creek runs through the woods on the property and

We love you, Luke! Come back soon, you know our doors are always open to you! We really were so fortunate to have you here, as you have an unbeatable spirit, a can-do attitude and are a hardy, hardworking individual. What an amazing experience! Nicole is a generous and thoughtful host as well as a sweet soul! Her homestead has several communal spaces, private nooks, and plenty of food! The camping area was perfect for my nomadic setup (truck-life!) The energy is very peaceful - the vegetation, the animals, the creek, the woods... so soothing! I also really

There are plenty of projects to do on Nicole's homestead and I enjoyed working on the interior of her tiny home - prepping, priming, and painting. I was only able to stay for a few days, as I was traveling from Georgia to Minnesota on a timeline. However, the experience was so amazing, that I fully plan on stopping by again on my way back south!
I highly recommend someone plan to stay with Nicole for long periods of time. There is plenty to do, but more importantly, there is so much to learn. Nicole is extremly wise and knowledgeable regarding homesteading and life in general! One could easily spend months with her and feel endlessly fullfilled!
Thank you, Nicole, for you kindness, generosity, and openness! I look forward to seeing you again soon!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Logan, thank you so much for coming to visit. We all love you! You always have a place to come back to if you're ever in this part of the country again. I even talked to Chip about having a car here for you if you ever come back because it was a pleasure to have you as you helped us TREMENDOUSLY by saving us a lot of time.

For me it was a great opportunity to work/play and I learned about many vegetarian foods I was unfamiliar with! Staying near the stream and seeing the garden grow during my time there was like a dream!
Some of the activities I took part in was clearing out brush, stacking logs, staining the deck of the tiny home, learning about and participating in eco projects, and sometimes even working alongside Nicole and Chip despite their busy schedules at the time. This is a must stop I would recommend to anyone, cant wait to return again!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Honey was AWESOME to have! She was such a blessing in helping us to clear some land for growing spaces and did such a great job, and this was a HARD job! It's back breaking work, and because we chose not to use heavy equipment to avoid destroying our sensitive ecosystem, she did the job without complaint. We really appreciate her working so hard

I had an awesome two-week stay on Nicole's property. The main projects I worked on were weeding the organic food forest, clearing land for development, and mulching common/camping spaces.
Here is what I loved about my stay:
--Nicole made sure I was always felt warm, fed, and safe during my stay. I was treated to anything in the kitchen and had
… read more some of the best takeout food experiences of my life!
--Nicole knows how to have fun and have meaningful conversations, and the best nights were those when I could sit around the dining table with her and the other volunteers, laugh, and share music.
--I was given the privacy and time to work on my personal projects like writing, in a beautiful, clean woodland space.
--The tasks designated to me were very clear and straightforward, and all tools were provided to complete them.
--Walt, a friend of Nicole living on the property, was a spectacular person to have around. I could not get enough of his stories or his company. I am stoked to have Walt as a friend and creative project partner.
What did not align for me personally:
--During the standard work hours of the day, Nicole was very intense and work-focused. Though my hours may have been completed, I felt like I could not relax until everyone's work day was over.
--Sometimes, the style of critique on other people's work or habits did not align with my principles of respect or constructive feedback.
Overall, this can EASILY be a five star experience for different workawayer!
Charlotte, I'm just now able to sit down to write an excellent review about you! It was so good to meet you and we're so glad you came to stay for a couple weeks and bless us with your hard work ethics and amazing spirit!
