  Description

  We are a Filipino-Canadian-American couple with two kids 6 years old and 3 years old. We need help with gardening, bike repairs, construction projects, among others. We currently offer a private, basic fan room with bedding. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared. We live in a quiet mountain and coastal town. Our town has a small, growing tourism sector, but there is lots to do including hiking, biking, swimming, beach bumming etc. We are passionate about development work, resource management, art and climate change adaptation advocacy. We are community-oriented and we try to work with local folks and support local arts and sustainability initiatives around our town.

  Aide

  We are open to the skills you have. We'd appreciate someone who likes doing physical work/ working outdoors. But we could also use help with making our personal websites or something like that. We have a local lady who comes daily to cook, and clean so that is not the bulk of work. If you have special skills with kids we'd love to know.

  Hébergement

  The room is upstairs with big screened windows and a fan to keep it cool. It is generally fine temperature for sleeping at night but hot to work there during the day.

  There are buses from Manila via Cabanatuan with Five Star. Approx travel time is 5 hours.
  There’s different beaches, hikes, waterfalls in the area. If you do go out sightseeing or to the market you may borrow a bicycle or pay for a local tricycle service.
