Description
We are an Arts and Cultural Center, B&B and Botanical Conservation Park in Kasese Western Uganda.
Our focus is intercultural dialogues and exchanges. During your stay, you can choose to support us in any of the projects.
1. Arts & Cultural Center: With our work focused on promoting Local Artists work and inspiring young creatives, you will be working closely with the team to Organize Fundraising Campaigns for Skilling Youths in Tailoring, Painting & Weaving onsite. Additionally, you will be responsible for marketing Art in the Gallery on-line to friends, family and galleries back home and around the world to enable us continue exhibiting work from local artists and hence enable them to make a living from their craft. We also dedicate some funds towards Education Scholarships. We for the last 5 years have in Partnership with Worlds Education made possible the education of 100 kids Annually through Edu scholarships.
2. Elephant Human Coexistence BeeHive Fences.
We are located very close to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to diverse Flora & Fauna including but not limited to Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Water & Bush Bucks, Flamingos, Lions, Leopards and Hyenas.
Being a farming community, Elephants for the last 5 years have almost completely wiped out all farms in the community including ours. To support community farms, we are Fundraising for and Installing BeeHive Fences to offer an alternative income to farmers from Honey and other products harvesting, increase crop pollination on fields and also keep Elephants from encroaching on farms and hence getting in harm's way due to Human Elephant Conflicts.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Autres infos...
You can spend you're weekends trekking the Rwenzori Mountains (highest in Uganda), swimming in the hotsprings, Game Driving in the Queen Elizabeth National Park to spot lions and other game, Boat cruising on Kazinga channel -a home to Crocodiles, hippos and plenty of fish while still spoting game like elephants, tracking Monkeys, Chimps and gorillas on top of visiting local markets and also attending local events.
The cheapest and commonest means of transport is the Motor Bike, which you can always use to get to town or visit a few places around town like the Market.
English is understood by most locals, and most children are slowly learning it at school. The commonly used local languages are Lukonzo, Luganda and Lutoro. We will teach you basics of these so you can say hello to locals in their language.
The rainy season runs from March - May and September - November, and the Dry season from December - February and June - August. Please do pack with that in mind.Informations complémentaires
