We live on an attractive farm on the east coast of the South Island, with beautiful views over the sea to Christchurch 1.5 hours away. Swimming pool and tennis court.

We enjoy having visitors from different parts of the world and learning about their lives and cultures. Hopefully we can help them learn about NZ life and improve their English

There is a separate 2 bedroom, one bathroom cottage in the garden for visitors and meals are provided in the main house.

We are close to lots of scenic areas, walks and beaches, and energetic visitors are welcome to use our electric bikes around the farm. We are flexible with work hours to suit weather and activities

I stayed at Fiona and Peter's farm for just a week. It was a last minute arrangement, but I'm so glad to have stayed with such wonderful people! They welcomed me with open arms and made sure I got the full farmlife experience (for which I'm extremely grateful)! It was an awesome experience working as a gardener at their wonderful farm! I spent 10 days with Fiona and Peter and I only have good things to say about them. The room (separate building) that I stayed in was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The scene around their house was breathtaking, facing south Pacific Ocean and backed by hills and mountains. They are very hardworking and humble couples, and this made me want… read more

Seven stayed with us for about 10 days, but we wish it was for longer. She is a very cheerful and positive person, great to have around, but it was hard to stop her working! She was very helpful in the garden, cleaning and gave everything a go.
Would highly recommend her.

Kenzie and Kellan stayed with us for about a week and were great girls to have around. They were always cheerful, interested, hard working and good company. They came at a busy time, but were happy to work independently on all sorts of tasks from cleaning, hedge trimming and other garden tasks.

The tasks were very varied and they were flexible enough over my working hours so that I could take the day off the day before my departure for a great walk to the beach. Clara stayed with us for a week and was a great worker, getting stuck in to all sorts of jobs such as gardening, painting, cleaning and carpentry. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always cheerful with excellent English. We certainly enjoyed having her to stay

We spent a wonderful week with Fiona and Peter on their stunning property. They are kind and we felt very welcome! Our accomodation was spacious and cozy. The work felt meaningful and because we did many different jobs it never got boring! We did not want to leave at all...

We had Nils to stay with us for his first work away experience for about 10 days. He was very friendly, cheerful, respectful around the house and had great attention to detail in his work.

I realy enjoyed my stay with Fiona and Peter!
I had a great time and thanks to the variety I didn't even mind the work at all. But its also a great place to explore in your freetime as you can see beautifull sceneries wherever you go.

Everyone will love Luke!
He has been back to us three times and is always enthusiastic, energetic and fun to have around. He willingly approached all tasks, especially if they involved power tools.

I had a great time with Fiona and Peter. The farm is beautiful und the views are breathtaking! The work was fine and there was enough time for going on walks, going for a swim or just enjoying the sun :)
