We live on an attractive farm on the east coast of the South Island, with beautiful views over the sea to Christchurch 1.5 hours away. Swimming pool and tennis court.

We enjoy having visitors from different parts of the world and learning about their lives and cultures. Hopefully we can help them learn about NZ life and improve their English

We would love help with gardening, pest control, DIY projects, firewood and native plant propagation and planting. Also construction and building.

There is a separate 2 bedroom, one bathroom cottage in the garden for visitors and meals are provided in the main house.

We are close to lots of scenic areas, walks and beaches, and energetic visitors are welcome to use our electric bikes around the farm. We are flexible with work hours to suit weather and activities

Weronika and Tom stayed with us for about 10 days and were a great help in the garden and around the farm.
They are a quiet, friendly and respectful couple with a great work ethic. Everything they did was carried out cheerfully and to a high standard, and they worked well independently. We would definitely recommend them to others.

Our workaway with Fiona and Peter was wonderful! We worked hard in the garden/on the farm and were treated with very delicious and fresh food right from the garden/farm. I stayed at Fiona and Peter's farm for just a week. It was a last minute arrangement, but I'm so glad to have stayed with such wonderful people! They welcomed me with open arms and made sure I got the full farmlife experience (for which I'm extremely grateful)! It was an awesome experience working as a gardener at their wonderful farm! Seven stayed with us for about 10 days, but we wish it was for longer. She is a very cheerful and positive person, great to have around, but it was hard to stop her working! She was very helpful in the garden, cleaning and gave everything a go.

Kenzie and Kellan stayed with us for about a week and were great girls to have around. They were always cheerful, interested, hard working and good company. They came at a busy time, but were happy to work independently on all sorts of tasks from cleaning, hedge trimming and other garden tasks.

I spent a wonderful week with Fiona and Pete on their beautiful farm. The tasks were very varied and they were flexible enough over my working hours so that I could take the day off the day before my departure for a great walk to the beach. Clara stayed with us for a week and was a great worker, getting stuck in to all sorts of jobs such as gardening, painting, cleaning and carpentry. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always cheerful with excellent English. We certainly enjoyed having her to stay

We spent a wonderful week with Fiona and Peter on their stunning property. They are kind and we felt very welcome! Our accomodation was spacious and cozy. The work felt meaningful and because we did many different jobs it never got boring! We did not want to leave at all...
