  Description

  We are a small permaculture based, natural building inspired, plant focused shared living property up in the hills of Tzununá, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
  
  The land has been tended for over 7 years slowing building into a little nurturing oasis.
  
  We are located at the top of a local neighbourhood, with a short walk through the hillside up to our property with views of the Lake and the misty hills. We are not accessible by road.
  
  We have two cats called Flashlight and Rio who loves to talk with you and give cuddles.
  
  We have one long term employee Andreas who has lovingly worked on the land for over 7 years. He and his family live a short distance away down the hill. He is a skilled natural builder, rock worker and gardener.
  
  Our neighbours here in Tzununá are a mixture of locals and expats. We have a great community consisting of a farm to table restaurant and permaculture property Granja Tzikin - for lovely meals, socialising, fresh produce, eggs and chicken. Atitlan Organics for fresh greens and seeds to plant. LoveProbiotics for all things fermented and weekly pizza night with live music. Fungi Academy - a mushroom school and community.
  Further down town there is Casa Curativa - a herbal apothecary and teaching space.

  You'll be helping closely with Andres our employee who is happy to share his skills and ways of working with the land and rocks and plant knowledge. And there is opportunity to teach him any skills you have to increase his skill set!

• 

  Aide

  We are inviting people with the following skills to contribute their energy and love to our land.
  Permaculture knowledge.
  Pond and waterway systems knowledge.
  Natural Building experience and desire to learn.
  Carpentry ability.
  Spanish and English Speaking.
  
  The tasks will be:
  Garden upkeep and installation of new elements - new garden beds and Permaculture elements.
  Installation of ponds and waterways systems.
  Helping build/add verandas to existing buildings.
  Re roofing a cabin - very basic.
  Some natural building tasks.
  
  You will be helping closely with our employee for most of these tasks and supporting by translating and explaining new requests.

  Hébergement

  The accommodation is a rustic wooded cabin with an outdoor kitchen attached - there is a bed, shelves for clothes and a work desk.
  All Bedding and bath towel is supplied.
  A kitchen with amenities provided. (Fridge, Gas Cooktop)

  These are all shard facilities and require communal up keep.
  
  There are many social activities in our and neighbouring towns from ecstatic dances, Kirtan, cacao ceremonies, fire ceremonies, breathwork, yoga, meditation.
