Description
We are a couple from Hannover, Germany, that we opened a Hostel in La Serena, Chile.
For more than 15 years we have been receiving volunteers and students from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Our Hostel is located in downtown, not far from the main Plaza, just 10 minutes walking, 5 minutes from the bus Terminal and 25 minutes walking from the beach.
We are in the list of city's best Hostels, we have a bilingual reception and also we offer meals in the afternoon with a german touch.
We have 2 local recepcionists and 4 clean ladies that got paid.
And we need people to help us doing maintenence, organizing the storageroom, taking care of our pets, gardening.

You can learn first of all the spanish lenguage due the constantly exchange with guests and our workers, also about tourism how to do a check-in, check-out and book reservations, cooking with our lady chef.
Aide
We need help in cleaning, maintenance, supporting reception, organizing the storageroom, taking care of our 3 dogs and gardening.

You can ride a bike, go to the beach, the port, downtown.
At the beach on summertime there are surfing classes, at the port you can try chilean seafood, see the wildlife, seagulls, pelicans, sea lions there are always at the port in Coquimbo.
You can go to Elqui Valley and try the real Pisco, do a stargazing tour.

This was my first workaway and I couldn't have asked for a more kind and welcoming team :) I volunteered for a little over 3 weeks and my entire experience was amazing. The vibe of the hostel is very relaxing and comfortable!! Mainly families and couples stayed there during my Time there, so not super typical Backpacker hostel.
