  About us and our project
  
  We are a family living in Saint-Georges-de-Beauce, Quebec, in a peaceful rural environment where animals are an important part of our everyday life.
  
  Our home is shared with our dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits, and they are truly part of the family. We are looking for someone who will enjoy getting to know them and taking care of them while we are away.
  
  Our project is not a commercial farm. We simply enjoy living in the countryside and having animals around us. We would like to open our home to a responsible and kind person or couple who would enjoy experiencing authentic Quebec family life, rather than staying in a traditional tourist accommodation.
  
  We believe that a Workaway experience should be a real exchange. We provide a comfortable place to stay and the opportunity to discover our region, while you help us by keeping our animals safe and maintaining their normal routines during our absence.
  
  We are also happy to share our knowledge of the area and recommend places to visit, local activities, nature trails and things to discover in the Beauce region.
  
  Because our animals are very important to us, trust is essential. This is why we would like our Workaway guest to arrive a few days before we leave. This will give us time to get to know each other, introduce all the animals, explain their routines and make sure everyone feels comfortable.

  The animal care does not take up your entire day. Outside of the daily routines, you will have plenty of free time to relax, explore and enjoy rural Quebec.
  
  Saint-Georges and the surrounding Beauce region offer opportunities for hiking, nature, local attractions and discovering authentic Quebec life.
  
  We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, kind, patient and genuinely loves animals. You should also enjoy a quiet rural environment and feel comfortable living independently.
  
  If you are looking for a peaceful Canadian winter experience, surrounded by animals and nature, this could be a great fit for you!

  Aide

  What will you be doing?
  
  During our absence, you will mainly be responsible for keeping our animals happy, safe and comfortable while maintaining their normal daily routine.
  
  We have dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits. There are no horses, cattle or other large or commercial farm animals.
  
  Your daily responsibilities will include:
  
  Feeding the dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits according to their usual schedules
  Making sure all animals have fresh water
  Checking that the animals are healthy and behaving normally
  Letting the dogs outside and giving them the attention and care they normally receive
  Collecting eggs from the chickens
  Feeding and checking the rabbits
  Cleaning or maintaining the animals' areas when needed
  Following the simple routines we will show you before we leave
  
  The help is not intensive farm help. The animals are already part of our daily family life, and the goal is simply to continue their normal routine while we are away.
  
  We will spend several days with you before our departure so that you can learn everyone's personality, routine and needs. You will have the opportunity to do the tasks with us first and ask any questions before being responsible on your own.
  
  The most important qualities for this experience are reliability, kindness, patience and a genuine love of animals. You should also be comfortable living independently in a quiet rural environment.
  
  There will be plenty of free time to relax, explore Saint-Georges and discover the beautiful Beauce region of Quebec during winter.
