    Description

We are kaitiaki of 12 hectares of magical spray free land, with spring fed river, ancient native forest with kiwis.

There is a dedicated woofers cottage, with large open plan lounge and dining, full kitchen, private bedrooms bathroom with shower, spring water, sunny with elevated nature views.

We have hens, ducks, kune kune piggies. We are located in the sub tropical north, 20 minutes north of Kerikeri..We would appreciate help from hands on practical people that can help with building/carpentry jobs, livestock projects, maintaining our raised garden beds, bush track maintenance, and creative people that can create art installations on the land and other creative projects. Also need help with daily food preparation, preserving, cooking for dinner for those on the land. A fix it person would be great too that has great solutions for when farm machinery needs repairing. We have an orchard that needs pruning and harvesting depending on the season. We have a large flat camping glade with facilities so a space to meet and greet and promote self sustainability to like minded others. There is always things to clean and keep in order.

the famous Matauri Bay beach is only 8 minutes from the land, great for swimming, some surfing, diving on the ship wreck and snorkelling .

We also run community spirited events, workshops music jams, retreats on the land.

We welcome creative souls that can work self directed, after we have briefed them, and take pride in what they do.
We aim to align their passions, interests as well as their skillsets to the tasks or eco projects so that everyone feels empowered and happy !

The land is very low EMF (white zone) which is very healthy environment, very clean air, good water, and a healing living environment.

We have both travelled extensively oversease and lived in Europe and places like Bali.

My partner is Swiss born and i am NZ born with Swiss German background.

We speak Swiss German, German, French and some Spanish...happy to stick to speaking english but also if a workaway cannot find a word in english we may be able to help by giving them the German or other equivalent X

We fell in love with this magical land which has powerful healing energies and live a simple life here , holding also workshops, retreats, music gigs and a festival each year, which are community events.

We are aiming for self sustainability and honouring the land and the birdlife here.
Everyone on the land practises zero waste and recycling or repurposing where possible, we are happy to show you how.

We love meeting people and offering them generous space, privacy yet they can socialise when they wish, and opportunities to explore their passions eg art or cooking which they may never have time for in their own country because working hard!

NEWSFLASH! : our 2025 dates for our conscious music and wellness Festival have been set to 27 Feb - 3 March 2025. We invite keen workaway travelllers who are planning their travel 2025 to contact us to FIND OUT MORE about woofing before the festival dates, during and after - in this way you can be part of the epic creative process, learn about event management and get to enjoy the 4 day festival meeting amazing NZ musicians, healers, speakers, fire dancers, presenters, DJ's etc

As we have lived in various countries, especially Europe and Bali, we can help with language skill aquisition for travellers, and travellers can benefit from living in close connection to nature, powerful healing energies on the land, yet still only 20 minutes to Kerikeri, or 10 to the closest cafe! .
Travellers can learn more about hospitality, event organisation and caring for the land, compost creating, gardening and caring for hens and ducks.

We like to match the skill sets of travellers and hear their passions and interests, to what help we need on the land. People that are self directed enthusiastic and are happy to have a weekly meeting to discuss what projects we are working on , are very welcome here. Practical skills like carpentry, building, gardening, cooking, art creations and installations, certainly will be ideal for here. However we are open to all people that like to contribute, learn more and have open transparent communication. Also those with marketing and event organisation background are suitable for supporting us with our music concerts and retreats, which are non profit community events. Musicians are also welcome and those from the Healing Arts! We are 80 percent solar and would love to expand on this if anyone is skilled or has experience with solar instatations and eco sustainable practises.

if workawayers have a camper or a sleeping vehicle, we have a private camping glade near the spring fed river with full facilities - spring water high pressure showers, toilets, full kitchen with all pots/pans/china/ fridge freezer, two storey chill lounge, power, so they can park up, we have communal laundry facilities available.

We have a stand alone Workawayers cottage with great views and 2 separate bedrooms, shared lounge, full kitchen, shared shower and bathroom, normally we have 2 or 3 Workawayers staying.

We do not have strict rules around what type of food can be cooked, sometimes we arrange shared meals when possible and practical, the rest of time, people can cook for themselves, using also what produce there is in the garden at that time.

We are 8 minutes from the famous Matauri Bay beach where the rainbow warrior wreck is laid, great for diving.
Puketi foest is 20 minutes away. Napha natural thermal springs are 20 away. The small town with big spirit, Kaeo is 10 away, with cafe, great indian food restaurant, petrol station, supermarket, and the best fish and chips in NZ! There are many beaches, for surfing or relaxing up the coast, with the famous Bush Fairy Dairy in the energy spot of Peria Valley about 40 minutes away. Kerikeri is 20 away with lots of restaurants, shops and cafes, op shops, supermarkets and other services like warehouses, doctors Then there is the stunning waterfront resort town of Pahia, fishing tour trips, and the historic Russell and Opua ferry harbour area.

We are welcoming people, a zero waste space, however those living here can use the recycling set up. We are not appreciative of people getting drunk or off their face with drugs.
We live our private space, and the whole land is set up for privacy , yet communal spaces for sharing meals and music and fun! We are ok about having a gathering of friends down in the camping glade venue, however this would need to be discussed prior and we always need to know who is staying on the land for health and safety reasons.
Friends can visit, however if staying over they need to contribute a small accommodation fee for use of showers and gas etc.
