Description
Hello!
Hi my name is Dave and I live in the Segala, a lovely very rural area full of hills and valleys in south west france about 100 kilometres from Toulouse.
Right now there are various opportunities to come and share life here, to help and be here for a while and enjoy local activities and events.
If you would like to come here for 2 weeks or longer it would be lovely to have your help in the garden or in working on the house, You don't need any particular skills but just a willingness to assist
I am also very open for people to come for longer, up to several months and would love to have the chance to come and live here for a few months helping and participating in life here and in the local community.
I love working and living with other people and enjoy sharing what i know and the skills i have and also encouraging people to discover and develop their own skills and abilities in new areas
In the garden this might involve sowing planting growing vegetables and fruit, looking after the trees, maintaining the grounds, and harvesting what we grow . It will be an opportunity to experiment and to find out what its like to be participating in running a garden and eat and transform what you've grown. There is about 3/4 hectare (about 2 acres) land.
If you wanted to come as a family or couple for several months there is also space and opportunity for this. You would have your own living area,-- bedroom, lounge, kitchen, eating area and bathroom and also share all the other facilities and spaces, sometimes cooking your own meals etc and and we will sometimes eat together and share the communal kitchen or just be together. I will give more or less help and advice as needed and as your skills develop and your confidence grows. And you could meet friends and participate in the local activities and events -there are lots!!
The farmhouse where i live is a beautiful old bastide, which surrounds an inner courtyard. There are villages to explore nearby, weekly markets and if the sun is shining lots of rivers perfect for cooling off and swimming and a vibrant local community where you could meet friends and participate in the local activities and events -there are lots!!
So if this interests and you would like to know more then do get in touch. You can also see more pictures on our website (ask us for the link)

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Hopefully, you will learn lots of gardening skills and be surprised what can be achieved during your time here.
The house is in a rural area with a slower pace of life helping you to deeply relax, There will also be opportunities to go to local markets and fetes and take part in local culture and meet friends and neighbours living a different way of life. And being close to the land and helping to grow food and picking it yourself to then eat can open up new ways of seeing and feeling.
Aide
Everybody is welcome here if they are happy to live together with others, share skills and ideas and tasks, helping.
Also i am looking for people who already know a bit about gardening and would be happy to come and live here for a few months helping in the garden: sowing, planting, growing vegetables and fruit, looking after the trees, caring for the grounds, harvesting and using the produce. It will be an opportunity to learn lots of new skills, to experiment and to find out what its like to help organise a garden and eat and transform what you've grown. You need to be here a few months but it could be for longer. There is about 3/4 hectare (about 2 acres) land. Could be ideal for a couple with or without children.

Hébergement
You will have a bedroom in the farmhouse. And all bedding and towels will be provided. You will have a room to yourself (unless you come with someone you want to share with)
We have a big garden, a vegetable garden and a field as well as other outbuildings that you are welcome to explore and enjoy.
Autres infos...
We are in a tiny hamlet in the Tarn. There are lots of walks to explore as you step out of the house with the river nearby where you can swim.
The nearest big city with flight and train links is Toulouse. If coming by public transport the easiest way to arrive is by train to Carmaux where we can come and pick you up. Also Blablacar (a car sharing website) works very well in France and is often a cheaper and more convenient way to travel.
