Description
I own a small eco-adventure travel business based in rural Quebec Canada 90 minutes from Ottawa. We have a small hostel and campground on a beautiful peninsula jutting into the Ottawa River. We offer Hostel accommodations, camping, meals, canoeing, kayaking SUP and whitewater rafting. We are looking for some workawayers to lend a hand at our basecamp in exchange for showing them a TRULY CANADIANA experience.
Workawayers will live in platform tents, have food and kitchen provided and provide a helping hand where necessary around the hostel/campground/basecamp and will have access to recreational activities during off hours such as whitewater rafting, canoeing, SUP, kayaking, cycling etc.
We are excited to provide you with an exceptional, fun and adventurous experience during your stay with us in Canada!

We live in a part of western Quebec, Canada, where the timber industry dominated our regional economy for over 100 years. With the demise of the timber industry the adventure tourism industry has risen like a Phoenix allowing people to come and explore our many lakes, rivers and wide open spaces. Workawayers will mix with people from our local community as well as guests from around the world.

Aide
We are looking for Workawayers to join us for a minimum of 2 weeks for general help around our hostel, campground, basecamp for our eco-adventure company. Tasks can vary but may will include greeting guests on arrival (campground host) laundry, general cleaning/maintenance, gardening/lawn care.
We welcome those with specialized skills (language skills, musicians, computer nerds, social media moguls, magicians... or whatever your unique skills happen to be).
You will have access to many FUN activities in your spare time such as canoeing, kayaking, SUP, cycling, as well as our world famous whitewater rafting trips. We have a fun location with a great team.
We hope to provide you with a fun, adventurous and rewarding Workaway experience.

Hébergement
Platform tent (Tent set up on wooden platform with tin roof to protect from the elements). Adjacent bathroom/shower facilities with hot water. Evening riverside campfire as a nightly activity. Fun, rustic and super Canadiana.

There are a lot of activities available to Workawayers during their time off. This includes all the benefits of "Lakefront Living" such as canoeing, kayaking, SUP, as well as local cycling, whitewater rafting etc. Every evening we have a riverside campfire, exchange stories of our adventure and all in all enjoy a truly Canadiana experience.
