Description
Come Be Part of Our Healing Homestead on Sacred Indigenous Land
We welcome open-hearted, community-minded people to share in the rhythm of life on our peaceful ranch, located on a First Nations reservation in Ontario, Canada.
This is a space rooted in Indigenous history, where people from around the world come to learn, connect, and contribute in meaningful ways. Our cozy volunteer-built cabin, garden beds, and daily routines all reflect the care and effort of those who’ve come before.
Our Daily Life & Shared Contributions
We all help each other keep the home and land running smoothly. If you enjoy creating simple meals, tidying shared spaces, or helping care for the people who care for the land, you’ll be right at home here. There are also opportunities to help outdoors—whether that’s in the garden, with animals, or on small building projects—depending on your interests and our current needs.
This is a great exchange for someone who enjoys the “heart work” of daily living: keeping things clean, cooking nourishing food, and creating a warm space where everyone can rest and regroup.
Accommodations & Atmosphere
Volunteers stay in a shared off-grid cabin with bunk beds (sometimes co-ed), an outhouse, and outdoor washing facilities. It’s simple, but cozy and welcoming. Our home is not a resort—it’s a living, breathing space that values healing, humility, and connection to the land.
We are a substance-free space and ask that all guests honour the sacredness of this land and the community around it.
This space might be a good fit if you:
• Appreciate quiet, grounded living
• Are tidy, respectful, and self-motivated
• Enjoy supporting others and being part of a team
• Value Indigenous culture, land-based learning, and mutual respect
When you write to us, please include:
• The dates you’re available (start + end)
• A little about what kind of activities you enjoy
• Your level of English (so we can best support communication)
We’re happy to host people from all backgrounds and cultures. Whether you stay for a short visit or a longer chapter, your presence will be valued and your contributions appreciated.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

There was so much to learn from each of them and I thoroughly enjoyed their company and everything they taught me, especially of life on an Indigenous reserve.
