    Description

Spring 2021: once the snow has cleared we will be ready to accept volunteers to help with clearing fallen trees/chopping and stacking wood. Also we will be beginning a “Workaway Garden” and be growing produce. This will include building garden boxes, tending to the gardens-weeding watering etc. We will be bringing in a variety of poultry and a few horses as well.

    ******************
Our Workawayer cabin is almost complete and we are very pleased with the love and care that has gone into creating this space for you to stay inside. A space created by Workawayers before you. Each person who has stayed has contributed their talents to this structure and it’s slowly coming together - however please still read below and understand the conditions are “roughing it”
Coming this fall we will be looking for workers to assist with building, preparing garden boxes for next spring, animal care...read below for more. We can accommodate families so long as you understand the conditions are considered “roughing it”

    *******
Please take note that the conditions are Canadian Outdoors. There is space to camp in a tent and an outhouse for facilities. The work is outdoors as the ranch is just in the beginning phase. Chopping wood, clearing brush, cleaning up the grounds, building structures, caring for animals.

At our ranch we are creating an eco friendly environment on a First Nations Reservation. This will be a place of mindfulness and serenity. We are welcoming workawayers who are passing through while exploring Canada’s outdoors. Here you can practice English while participating in a variety of outdoor chores and learn more about Canadian First Nations culture!

    Hébergement

We welcome you to camp out on the property if you are comfortable with the outdoors and weather depending on the time of year. Outdoor camping is often ideal for workers that are passing through while exploring Canada’s outdoors. However if you choose outdoor camping the facilities include an outhouse. We currently bring in water as we are in the process of putting in a water supply. The property is offgrid. We will discuss arrangements with you prior to you arriving so you know what to expect.
