  Description

  I’m April! I love to travel and work in the environmental industry. I enjoy getting outdoors as much as I enjoy cozying up with a book! I’m currently learning spanish.
  
  I live in Squamish, BC. It’s a beautiful mountain town located between Vancouver and Whistler. Squamish is known for it’s world renowned mountain biking, climbing, and backcountry skiing.
  
  I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with beautiful mountains views. I’m located in the downtown area within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and stores.
  
  My job requires a lot of travel away from home. Currently I’m working a 2 week on and 2 week off schedule. Im looking for a dog sitter who is able to care for Burton while I am gone at work. I would ideally like someone who is willing to take on multiple dog sits over the summer and fall and who is flexible with the dates. Also prefer someone who is currently in BC or Canada that could meet us in person.
  
  I will update here with dates for 2026 when I have them.
  
  About Burton! He is a 10 year old husky with a lot of energy still! Senior pup who no longer has his teeth but still has a big love for food! He loves walks or going for short senior friendly hikes.

  Squamish is a beautiful place, tucked away in the coastal mountains of British Colombia. It attracts adventures from around the globe. You will find a mix of cultures living here from Australians to Europeans. The best thing about living here is the nature is right on your doorstep! Surrounded by lakes, waterfalls and mountains, there is access to a range of activities from climbing, mountain biking to backcountry skiing. It is 48km away from Whistler which is North Americas largest ski resort. And 49km to Vancouver, one of the largest cities in Canada.

  Aide

  I am looking for someone to care for my dog while I am away at work. I typically work a 2 week on and 2 week off schedule from April till October. This would involve feeding him breakfast and dinner. Walking him for a minimum of 1 hour a day and taking him out for pee breaks a few times a day. I am looking for someone who is responsible and respectful to take care of my dog and home. Prefer those who can take on multiple stays throughout the summer and fall. Also prefer those already in BC.

  2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment located in an apartment building in downtown Squamish. You will have the second bedroom with your own bathroom. Modern Kitchen and living room space with a small private balcony. Within <5 minutes walk to cafes, restaurants and local shops.
