I stayed with Lindsay and Danny for three weeks. They were very welcoming and accommodating hosts. I appreciated that they went above and beyond to make my stay there enjoyable. While I was there I had their basement suite to myself so I was able to have my own space when needed. The work there was fairly easy. I did housework (dishes, sweeping,
… read more mopping, and some deep cleaning), I stacked some wood, did some garden work, and even helped doing some maintenance work on their rental property. I really appreciated that Lindsay checked in with my often to make sure I was happy and comfortable with the work I was doing. Taylor stayed with us for 3 weeks- she did a great job at working hard and steady with yard work, prepping the yard for winter, and housework. We had her do some painting, and other more skilled jobs, and she did well with those too. She was nice to work alongside and chat with too. She got along with our kids, and didn’t hesitate to do chores

I stayed with Lindsay, Danny and their three lovely daughters for 10 days and I would definitely have loved to stay longer! The time I’ve spent there was just amazing! I felt instantly at home as they welcomed me as a part of their family right away.
The chores I had to do during my stay there were limited to an absolute reasonable and fair

They definitely make sure that you get the most out of your stay with them and are absolutely willing to take you out for fun things (we hiked to beautiful waterfalls one day for example).
Besides that they were always happy to answer any question I had or to just have a conversation with me no matter if it was about the English language, the Canadian way of living, politics or anything else as they also really showed interest in my culture.
If you are looking to spend a wonderful time in a lively and busy Canadian family, this would be a perfect fit for you! I was just amazed by how easily they manage the household, work, kids and everything else always with a smile on their faces.
All I can say is thank you so much again for opening the doors to your beautiful home! I can’t wait to welcome you and your kids in Germany one day!
